Shadeybladey
Before you ask me, how exactly could you script this, i've to say that it's just a draft idea in my head and right now i can't think clearly cause yesterday i drunk too much wine... and i'm still dizzy... ROFLMAO!! Happy New Year! Thanks for all your help, I'll give you a chance to lie down and sleep before I come back for more! :D
HeirOfTheSeptims
I was able to make a new soul gem that worked and kept its name. I created the empty version, then created a filled version (keeping the same ID but adding "filled" at the end), then set them linked to each other. When I captured a mammoth's soul in "Tester's Soul Gem" I ended up with "Tester's Soul Gem (Grand)". If for some reason this doesn't work to modify vanilla soul gems, maybe you could try creating new ones and replacing the vanilla ones in leveled lists. maxarturo
@ HeirOfTheSeptims. Did you create a new soul gem ID or you edited the vanilla gems ?, because if this is the case then i should take a look at this once again. At one point i try to use the soul capture function to fuel the energy core of one of my droids, but i runned into a bunch of problems !!!.... Thanks. HeirOfTheSeptims
@maxarturo I created an entire new gem with a new ID and it worked like any other grand soul gem. I didn't test too deeply, so I don't know how much is relevant, but I was careful to make them the exact same way as the other soul gem pairs. Same name. Same ID with "Filled" added to the filled version. Linked them both to eachother.
Shadeybladey
I was able to make a new soul gem that worked and kept its name. I created the empty version, then created a filled version (keeping the same ID but adding "filled" at the end), then set them linked to each other. When I captured a mammoth's soul in "Tester's Soul Gem" I ended up with "Tester's Soul Gem (Grand)". Ah, that's the thing. In my case that would happen, but I want it to be called "Tester's Soul Gem (Supreme)" when it is filled, but it still shows a Grand soul in it. So far, Filled and Unfilled gems keep the new names for the Gems (Feeble, Lesser, Normal, Superior and Supreme) but show the Vanilla names for the Soul in them, so Soul Gem - Normal (Common) and so on. In Vanilla, the "Linked To" field says NONE, but the Soul and Capacity still have the Vanilla drop-down lists. Unless I misunderstood something and you did it slightly differently to me. Not had my coffee yet! All my mods mostly have unique items, recipes, ingredients etc so there can be no conflicts and all my forms have _shb_ at the front so I can find them easily, and then something to show which mod, so Silver Weapon Smithing Quest would have _shb_SWSQ_ and my Herbalists, Healers and Poisoners mod would have _shb_HH&P_. In the case of the Soul Gems and Alchemy, my forms have to replace the Vanilla ones, so I renamed them and kept the same ID, so even though they are replacers, they have names I can find easily in the CK and often have different names in-game, like Raw Meat - Goat instead of Raw Goat Meat. I must be obsessed with alphabetical inventory sorting! But I didn't change the "Linked To" Field and left it as it is in Vanilla. One thing I have not done yet is kill something and capture a soul. That would be a worthwhile test, to see what happens. Cheers! :D
