ZIoKo
You'd also want to use new hand models and animations for firstperson, and restrict any use of weapons to make it more intense.Sneak/Stealth attacks would also be pretty badass...
Midicow
Meh, if you could use armor for this then you could add npcs as well, have factions of intelligent deathclaws.

Kry11ic
There is a mod for Fallout New Vegas that allows you to play as the Super Mutant race. If that can be done, then I have absolutely no doubt that playing as the Deathclaw race is possible.
Quetzlsacatanango
Look for the monster costumes mod. It has a 'deathclaw suit' you can wear. You dont' get the deathclaw anims of course but that is that best we can do I think.
ChuckFinly
Here's an idea: I am sure I'm showing my ignorance because I do not know much about the GECK, but here it goes: Why not figure out how to script your character to change into a normal deathclaw? Assuming you could do that, then what you could do is compile those script into a batch (.bat) file and place into the "console commands" folder (I donno where it is). That way all someone would have to do to be a deathclaw was bring up the console command and load that batch file and/or load the opposite effect one to transform back. I don't know if that would work, but hey its an idea. Edited January 15, 2012 by ChuckFinly
