PeachMasterFlex
Okay so I had to re-install my game because when one of the new updates came it removed all my mods from my library. So after setting it back up good and new, re-installing most if not all of my mods back into my library, and applying all my game enhancements (stutter remover, fo3edit, Fose, That quad-core fix with the ini file, etc ..) I get this problem where if i take a few steps I can't pause the game. Also some of the graphics in my pipboy for my other mods disappear and are replaced with a blue square. Another problem was that the game would crash but when I switched to using the fake full screen mod I don't get that anymore. Now this is my conclusion. It has to do with the number of mods I'm running because when I put in mods and it doesn't work I take them out, then take others out and then put the other mod back in it works fine. I never had this problem before I re-installed, in fact I was close to the 255 plugin mark and was running a lot more resource draining mods than I have now. Now I can only make it up to like 215. If somebody knows what's going on please enlighten me. I'd put down my load order but there's a lot of them. I'm pretty sure it's not a particular mod or load order problem though. ZippyDSMlee
So you got a mod that pauses the game when you go to inventory? I don't recall vanilla ever pausing...maybe I been playing FWE too long....mmmmm Dose the game pause when you hit escape to go into the menus? PeachMasterFlex
No, no... First let me clarify that I use a 360 controller (Yeah I'm one of those people). Secondly I can get in and out of my inventory menu just fine, but some of my mod icons (Like my FWE icon for example) will be replaced with a blue square instead of it's usual icon. I cannot however press the start button to save my game. I have CASM but it's just not having the ability to do so that bothers me because I never use to have this problem before I re-installed everything. This is just unusual to me and I'm actually considering re-installation. I'd really rather not however.
ZippyDSMlee
Curious... can you pause with the keyboard? WHen was everything working good last? Install anything between then and now? It dose not take much to mes things up. If you install alot of mods I suggest you make a clean backup of the offical game+DLC,geck and updates. It makes restoration alot easier but it takes up aot of space.
PeachMasterFlex
Before I re-installed I had a lot more than what I have currently. I'll try using the keyboard. Also it could be any mod that's the problem. I just know it's a memory issue of some kind. But I'll try other methods and get back to you, thanks for taking an interest in this man... FO3 dose have memory issues, even when I have 8GB handy and fire/water fox eats up 3GB of it FO3 will not work right half the time. So vanilla and the patched version work okay? M48A5
In your first post you mentioned a new update caused your problem. Could you please explain the type of update? Fallout 3 has not been updated in almost 4 years.

PeachMasterFlex
Re-installed it and everything same problem... took some mods out that I really didn't need but after a while my game crashes... I suspect that it's the zombie apocalypse mod but I really want that mod to stay in...
