webkilla
How do I make it realize that I have the game installed? I've done a full scan on my steam folder - it still doesn't pick up that I have The Outer Worlds installed. Now, i've looked at the guide on how to make game extensions... https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Creating_a_game_extension_for_Vortex - but that stuff might as well be written in ancient greek to me, because its talking programing stuff I just can't wrap my head around any suggestions? There are already loads of mods for TOW on nexus https://www.nexusmods.com/theouterworlds?tab=popular+%28all+time%29 - I just wanna load up on the good ones before i start playing again plz help
Solution AugustaCalidia Posted January 4, 2021 Solution Share Posted January 4, 2021 You don't see the game in "Unmanaged" because currently there is no Vortex support for the game. Without a Vortex extension, the game will not be recognized. Vortex is open source. Many of the new game extensions are being written by the game players themselves. Find a fellow gamer with the programming skills and ask him/her to develop an extension. By the way, you don't need a mod manager to do the modding. You can do it the old fashioned way - manually. webkilla
Fair enough - I just thought that since there were nexus mods for the game, that someone had cooked up an extension already
