davidalangrier
I ran into the bug where the moth priest is permanently hostile. After the fight, he was kneeling down but I could still talk to him to move the quest forward. Back at Fort Dawnguard he was hostile to everyone. After Isran beat him down, I couldn't get the quest to move forward. After trying a bunch of console commands(set him to my faction, set him to Dawnguard faction, etc) to make him not attack anyone anymore, I just found the quest id and setstaged it to finish it. I finished the rest of Dawnguard with no problems but he was still hostile. I saw in another thread about setting his aggression through the console to 0 and that worked. So I thought everything was dandy now. But checking my papyrus logs revealed a reoccurring error which may or may not be from my use of the console. This error repeats the exact same information once every 5 seconds, constantly and never ending: [03/21/2013 - 04:42:54PM] Error: Cannot call EvaluatePackage() on a None object, aborting function callstack:[DLC1VQ03Hunter (020098CB)].DLC1VQ03MothpriestFightScript.FightLoop() - "DLC1VQ03MothpriestFightScript.psc" Line 90[DLC1VQ03Hunter (020098CB)].DLC1VQ03MothpriestFightScript.StartMothPriestFight() - "DLC1VQ03MothpriestFightScript.psc" Line 44[DLC1VQ03Hunter (020098CB)].DLC1_QF_DLC1VQ03Hunter_010098CB.Fragment_28() - "DLC1_QF_DLC1VQ03Hunter_010098CB.psc" Line 441 Could anyone who is familiar with papyrus log errors give me an idea of what is going on and if there is someway to fix this. Thanks for any information.
Mattimus2
from what i have gathered, if you remove the barrier before you speak to the moth priest, he will become friendly when you defeat him and speak to him so all will be well. if you speak to the moth priest before you remove the magic barrier he becomes friendly. simply do NOT remove the barrier and all will be well. removing the barrier seems to trigger his dialogue about how you must pay for killing his "master" and now he's hostile. if it is too late to avoid this and you can't go back to a prior save, you can use console commands to complete the quest instead so at least you can progress. i have used both ways, obviously the first option is better because then "mothman" will chill at dawnguard and you can have dialogue with him... good luck, this is a frustrating glitch.
