talkingdeads
Hi! Long time FNV player, but only since this year I've tried to mod the game. I'll try to be as precise as possible: I have downloaded about 30/40 mods total, and everything is pretty much alright. My problem is that whenever I press "V" for the VATS screen, nothing pops up. The game continues, it's not like it freezes. The thing is that the VATS screen doesn't appear, and on top of that, if I press "E" to exit it, I can't do it. My character is still able to move: but only with my keyboard. My mouse only works for shooting or aiming. I can only move with de WASD keys, and that's it. Here is a screenshot of what I see when I press the VATS key:https://i.imgur.com/N5nYpnM.png And here is my mod/plugins order:Part 1: https://i.imgur.com/ZV2xw72.png?1Part 2: https://i.imgur.com/K4nVPel.png If there's any more data or info I can give you to clarify anything, please let me know. English isn't my first language, so any clunkiness or lack of clarity on the way I speak may be attributed to that. Sorry. I hope all of you are having a good day, and thank you on advance for the help!
M48A5
Did you install all the requirements for OHUD? What other mods do you have install that do not show in the load order? You are supposed to use the WASD keys to move and the mouse is only used for aiming and shooting. The only problem you are having is you cannot enter VATS. IntenseMute
I'm going to take a wild guess and say you have Vanilla HUD Cleaned installed (This type of mod won't show up in a list like the one you provided). If thats the case, then to fix this you can do 1 of 2 options:You can either install Vanilla UI Plus or you can reinstall Vanilla HUD Cleaned but this time during installation, uncheck the option "Vanilla UI + Patch" Edited January 5, 2021 by IntenseMute
talkingdeads
Did you install all the requirements for OHUD? What other mods do you have install that do not show in the load order?I did! I checked and I have all three requirements (The Mod Configuration Menu, UIO and NVSE). I even checked disabling oHUD to see if maybe that was the problem, but no luck. I'm going to take a wild guess and say you have Vanilla HUD Cleaned installed (This type of mod won't show up in a list like the one you provided). If thats the case, then to fix this you can do 1 of 2 options:You can either install Vanilla UI Plus or you can reinstall Vanilla HUD Cleaned but this time during installation, uncheck the option "Vanilla UI + Patch" I don't have Vanilla HUD installed! Also, both you made me realize my mistake: I showed my plugins, but not my mods. Sorry! Here's a list of them, I hope that helps. talkingdeads
Sorry for doubleposting, but I fixed it! I don't now if this will be true for other players using the mod, but I'll leave here how I did it in case someone needs it. I still played, just without using VATS. On one ocasion, leveling up, I realized all my icons for the perks were completely gigantic and didn't fit the screen. That raised some alarms.I remembered I had the "Consistent Pip-Boy Icons" mod enabled, that, as it name indicates, took care of the icons in the Pip-Boy. I disabled it and now I can use VATS normally. Thank you to the fellas that tried to help me! If a mod wants to close the thread, now's the time. dubiousintent
The problem with the "Consistent Pip-Boy Icons" size is probably because you are not using a HUD that handles"scaling" as pointed out in the "sticky" at the top of that mod's comments page. Thanks for reporting back on how you solved your issue. -Dubious-
