It still amazes me the amount of people on these forums that have problems installing mods and will swear black and blue that the mod is wrong/ the textures are wrong/ they ARE looking in the right place/ they HAVE done everything correctly.

 

For example, some bloke was having a problem finding his FALLOUT.ini

 

He said he'd downloaded the game from Steam and couldn't find the ini in his installation.

 

Helpful bloke comes in and says "usually it can be found in your appdata or my documents\my games\fallout 3 folder"

Newb says "Nope, no ini file in there"

Helpful bloke says "You did find "my games\fallout3" right?"

Newb says "Yeah, it's not there steam/steamapps/common/fallout3"

 

I mean FFS :wallbash: This wastes so much time that I can't be bothered helping any more as it tends to set the tone for the rest of my day :verymad:

 

Is it that people can't think for themselves? Can't follow instructions? Are too lazy to try to work out their problems?

 

The future of civilisation isn't looking good.

I agree with you. Don't know why I just wrote that, but anyway. It's especially annoying when people spam comments on why this mod is broken, and give it a rating or 1.

While it can be maddening to see the great numbers of questions like "what's .7z?" & "Fallout wont read the rar, What wrong??"

I try to think of it as FO3 is reaching a group that Elder Scrolls hasn't (at least from a PC perspective) which may end up being a boon for the community. What they learn from FO3 just may make them into TES V modders.

 

ZableBlaze: Yeah those dimbulbs can be a nuisance but anymore a "1 rating"without a darn good reason is about like screaming "BAN MEEE!!!" So they don't last long here.
