cyperpunk 2077 vortex isn't using the correct filepath

so, i'm new to vortex, until just today had been using NMM, so, i downloaded the cyberpunk extension, and had to specify the file path as vortex couldn't automatically find it. so, i gave it the file path, and it decided to use the games base folder, which is wrong... as it needs to go into the bin/x64 folder with the executable and everything . so, i tried to correct it manually, but it wont let me, it keeps stopping at the base cyberpunk directory. so my mods never go into the correct spot.

The CP2077 extension extracts any file it downloads into the root folder of the Cyberpunk installation you set for Vortex. A mod has to have a proper directory structure in the zip file they use to distribute it. If they have not set that proper directory structure, the files will go in the wrong spot if you install using the "Vortex" or "Mod Manager Download" buttons.

For those mods you can do one of two things:

1) use the manual download option and extract the files where the mod author tells you to extract them.

2) use the manual download option and correct the zip file's paths so when you drag and drop onto the Vortex mod page, it will extract them to the proper location. (this is what I did to initially test Better Minimaps when I was originally creating the extension)

Bottom line is the mod authors need to correct their files to support Vortex. I made the extension support as many mod paths as I could under the Cyberpunk install directory...it's up to the mod authors to make their mod extract properly when using the Vortex install method.

looks like nobody uses the proper file structure then, this is going to be a pain... well, thanx anyway.

I have a small list of mods that do on my extension's mod page. I'm trying to get the word out about building the zip files correctly, but it is slow going. It would help if people who experience problems like this drop a comment on mods they use that have this problem so the mod authors can get the heads up and correct their files.
