Derok
Sometimes, totally random, game crashes and sometimes totally freezes when I save the game.I enabled papyrus debug. I found something scary: stack: [DLC1VQ03Hunter (020098CB)].DLC1VQ03MothpriestFightScript.FightLoop() - "DLC1VQ03MothpriestFightScript.psc" Line 85 [DLC1VQ03Hunter (020098CB)].DLC1VQ03MothpriestFightScript.StartMothPriestFight() - "DLC1VQ03MothpriestFightScript.psc" Line 44 [DLC1VQ03Hunter (020098CB)].DLC1_QF_DLC1VQ03Hunter_010098CB.Fragment_28() - "DLC1_QF_DLC1VQ03Hunter_010098CB.psc" Line 282[03/24/2013 - 12:03:35AM] VM is freezing...[03/24/2013 - 12:03:35AM] VM is frozen[03/24/2013 - 12:03:37AM] Saving game...[03/24/2013 - 12:03:37AM] VM is thawing...looks like I have these scripts from Dawnguard repeated in a loop, though I finished the main quest. A theory is that the game crashes only if I save in the exact time when the script loads. That DLC is a bug fest.I think I could fix this starting the DLC from scratch. But I don't want to! Another solution? Edited March 23, 2013 by Derok

NemesisTheWarlock
Sounds like something has gone very wrong there. It looks like there is an unfinished script running. You could try killing the mothpriest, I would say try recycling him, but that probably won't work. It basically looks like it's stuck in a fight loop and can't resolve it and the game doesn't normally allow saves during combat. Edited out the nonsense Edited March 25, 2013 by NemesisTheWarlock
Derok
But what is exactly the broken script? Edited March 25, 2013 by Derok
NemesisTheWarlock
Well, by the looks of your log, it's a combat script involving the mothpriest during the Dawnguard quest Prophet. It is a bit buggy. I've included a link here to a wiki page that might help you resolve the problem as it lists several known bugs and fixes. NemesisTheWarlock
Ok, so disabling the mothpriest hasn't fixed it. Ending the quest hasn't fixed it. To be honest, it looks an awful lot like the best thing to do is go back to a save before you got to the location of the priest. You could try going back to that location with him, but I wouldn't hold out much hope of it working, it's worth a shot though if you want to avoid going back and doing it again. Just going back there may not do it, so I'd try disabling and enabling him there. My last resort I think would be going back there, resetting the quest and going through each stage manually via the console. Unfortunately, I really do think that you're stuck with it though, sorry. No-one else chiming in suggests it too. Edited March 25, 2013 by NemesisTheWarlock
