Really fast enemies

I just recently started playing Oblivion again and spent the day getting all my favorite mods working again and everything runs great except for one strange thing - all monsters seems to have a speed stat of around 100 or so. I'm at level 25 and my speed stat is 65, but whenever an enemy spots me from a distance they rush to me with astounding speed and once I wound them and they try to run away (MMM) they speed away faster than I can catch them. The odd thing is, once they are within attacking range, they move normally, the speed boost only seems to occur when they are running full tilt. I can't think of any mods that I'm running that might cause this, it's not because I have the difficulty slider cranked is it? I thought that just gave monsters more hp. Any help would be great, thanks.

cranking up difficulty slider alters attack damage,if I remember correctly,that should not affect creature speed. I use MMM also and get that same effect. As for catching them ,well I found it depends on how much weight my character is carrying.( the more you carry the slower you run). Also athlethics comes into play for how fast you can run!

hmm, with the quality of MMM overall I'm surprised that something like that hasn't been looked at before. While we're on the subject of MMM, it seems with the 3.6 beta and up the spawns are significantly reduced from what I remember from earlier versions (last I used was 3.5.3). I used Adrenaline as well to bump up spawns even more but I rarely seem to encounter the number of enemies I did before and when I do it's just 1 or 2. Is MMM incompatible with something like Unique Landscapes? Or is the newer version not compatible with Adrenaline? I know that's a lot of questions but you look like you've been here awhile so I thought I'd ask while you were looking :P

 

EDIT: Oh and I am already using the Increased Spawn Rate part of MMM.

I didn't like the newest version,I went back to an earlier one! :)

Did you notice lower spawns with the new one? Because I don't want to go back to an older version, I like fighting Uberhulks and Balrogs, those are always some nice epic battles (mostly because I like to make them more cinematic by jumping and using power attacks on their heads). I got some compatibility patches for MMM and UL but they say that they eliminate spawn points in the affected areas and that's the last thing I want. I can't think of anything else that I'm using that affects spawn points and would cause things to appear less. Unless Adrenaline combined with the new MMM is having the opposite affect and the conflicts are deleting spawn points but they worked fine together before.

yes,and there were some technical issues with it.Unless its been updated more recently.I tried it on its initial release and was not happy with it.

Ahh I see. Darn, I like fighting Uberhulks and Balrogs too much to rollback (plus I don't wanna mess with my load order) so I'll just hope they finalize 3.6 soon. Thanks for the input :P
