[Dragonborn] Dragons won't attack on command when using "Bend

The title says it all; for some reason dragons refuse to attack targets while my character is riding after using the bend will shout. When I have a target selected and press the button for the dragon to attack, the dragon just says something like "Krosis, that is impossible" or "that cannot be done." I understand there are probably situations in which the dragons aren't supposed to be able to attack targets--this is why Bethesda gave them the dialogue to refuse your command in the first place--but for me the dragons won't attack targets at all, ever. The problem occurs even during the dragon riding "training session" when you ride a dragon for the first time (in Apocrypha)--if it should work at any point in the game, I would assume this is it.

I've tried it with three different characters I've created, using the same set of mods for all three; it's only worked correctly for one of them, but even for that character it just stopped working at some point. I didn't install, uninstall, or otherwise change any mods in between the time it worked and the time it stopped working. The only mod I have related to dragons is Deadly Dragons, but that mod shouldn't have any effect on dragon riding at all (the author insists as much).

Has anyone else had this problem? Any good ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks.

Well, I guess no else has had this problem or you just didn't see this post.

Anyway, I think I found the issue was caused by the mod "Everyone Get Inside -- Dragon Attack," which currently is hidden on the Nexus. After I disabled it, everything started working fine again. I'm just posting this here in case anyone else comes to the forums looking for a solution.

I am having the same problem you did dukesilver28. I have Enhanced Mighty Dragons as well as Dragon Combat Overhaul. Thing is I don't have the mod you removed to get it working again. I don't ride dragons often, but it does irritate me to have this problem.

Still nothing? Come on, I too have this problem and no mod altering dragons (other than base health). Checked and it was not the cause. Has nobody found a fix for this? I am getting really tired of Bethesda selling me things that are broken.

Edit: Fixed by removing the base health mod lol

After serveral hours trying to solve this problem, I discovered that this is caused by mods like Dragon Combat Overhaul, which edit the dragon race. If you have any kind of mod that changes dragon/undead dragon/dlc dragons races, then you will have this issue. Check in the CK if the mods you have installed change the dragon races and remove them.
