Game crashing at loading screen

Hi there,

 

I have multiple mods running and cant seem to get the game to work. My PC is only a few months old, so it should have no problem running the game with all the mods attached. I will attach my BOSS reccomendations to help you guys. If someone would be able to explain to me what mod is making my game crash so I can uninstall it, thatd be great. Thanks:)

I should also mention TSE5Edit crashes when I try and use it as well.

You're missing a master file. It could simply not be checked off, or it could be loading after the file that requires it, or it could be that you didn't read a mods dependencies and need to download another mod for it to work properly. The error message in TES5Edit should give you some information about what master file is missing, and I believe which plugin requires said missing master. Edited March 26, 2013 by MShoap13

By your listing you don't own any of the Official DLC's correct? So if that's the case, make certain that you have no mods that are looking for/needing those DLC's.

 

And as far as AP Skyrim goes? I've only heard of problem after problem with that. Is the author still working on it? Last thing I saw from him was that he was tending to his extremely sick Mother and wouldn't be working on it. None the less, it WILL cause you problems at the beginning of your game. Your character creation portion. It's been quite awhile since I used the mod, but if memory recalls, I think your character would not stop walking.....You know at the section when you step off the cart, the Imperial Guard says, "You there, step forward........Who are you?" And then your character just keeps walking and walking, making it difficult to set up your character. So at the very least, try disabling that particular plug in until you have your character created.

 

And since I don't see it in your list of mods, you might want to try the Unofficial Skyrim Patch Certainly not required...and much like everything, some people have good luck with it, others say it causes more problems. But the positives are far greater than the negatives. So it's up to you of course.

And as for why TES5Edit is crashing on start up??? Try redownloading it and then uninstall and install again. Can't hurt. Run Wrye Bash too....some of those mods need a Bash patch and Wrye Bash will help you with that.
