Game Freezes at Sarethi Farm

[Hematoxylin]

I keep getting consistent freeze at Sarethi Farm, its not CTD game just hangs which I can only shut down with task manager.
All my masters cleaned with SSEEdit, I dont have any mod alters landscape except Skyrim Flora Overhaul and disabling it doesnt fix the issue

Hey, I had the same issue. And I have a lot of the same mods as you. Been running the vast majority of what you are for quite a while now. However, I threw in Misty Skye on a lark just recently. No issues until I got close to Sarethi Farm. Then, just like you, game froze. No clue why. Restarted, went to same area, same thing. I disabled the Misty Skye esp, tried it again. No issue at all.

 

So try that, if you haven't figured it out yet yourself. Disable the Misty Skye esp, see if you can go to that area now.

You should inform the MA about what you have discovered, so a mod patch can be released for that mod as that will help other players.

Hey I know this is an old thread I was having the same issue, but just fixed it posting here encase it helps anyone.

 

The problem is "Aduri Sarethi" the npc. No idea why. I suspect one of the mods changes her behavior and the game crashes.

If you enable TFC and go to the farm she can be seen running in circles and as you get close to the farm the game will crash.

Just kill her with console commands and it fixed the game for me.

She has no quest is a boring vanilla NPC, and I now hate her more than Nazeem. 

 

This whole bug is so stupid.

Did you run the 'Verify Game Files' option for your Skyrim installation?  Very often, a corrupted installation can cause this (a CTD from an NPC/object, etc.).  If you do not run the newest version of Skyrim, I suggest that you do not use this, or be prepared to 'downgrade'.  If the offending object is from a mod, then uninstalling/downloading/re-installing that mod will often stop those, as well.

Corruptions can happen in a storage system, and the error-checking/verification routines (if any) may not catch all of them.
