This is my first time installing Skyrim and have just started modding it. I haven't even run the game yet so not even sorted with BOSS yet but have gotten a bit stuck on the way. (I'm not sure if my load order is relevevant at present??) I have just got round to installing SkyRe and run Reproccer but then I recieved null pointer exception. It says there are more details in SPGlobal.logs but cannot find this. I think I have found the error log - Debug Overview? - but to be honest I dont know what I am looking for and could with some pointers on how to fix this. In this I identified 3 mods - Jaysus swords, Better Sorting and Tytanis seeming to have exception but from here i get lost. My Java is up to date (7_17), and so too are all my mods according to Nexus Mod Manager. Although when I uninstalled these to see if it ran with no exceptions, another exception popped up - Bandoliers I think. Does this mean that it runs through errors and only terminates when it finds something really bad, ignoring previous minor ones? Anyway, when I uninstall the bandoliers mod it progresses to begin installation of master files and then checking duplicates when it stops again, telling me of duplicate EDID or FormIDs. I think the log I need is same as before or Export - ReProccer.esp.txt but once again I am not sure what to do after this point. This latter log seems to make less sense! Can anyone help please? Is there a full simple explanation of this? I have read that SkyRe is amazing and I am looking forward to getting into Skyrim but I'm also wondering if all the incompatibility issues make it worth installing? I'd like to think so... Figured out most of the problem was with my load order and incompatible mods so I guess I needed to do a bit more homework. Darklustre Posted March 31, 2023 Share Posted March 31, 2023 So what is it that we all should have read in the instructions? I've tried everything. I've tried the Java Runtime 7. I've tried 32 and 64 bit. I've tried scrapping SkyRe and going with PerMa and that tells you newest Java is always better. So I even updated to new Java and gave that a try. I get that damned exemption no matter what. I'm curious how people determined it was one mod causing the problem. How does a mod throw a Java exemption?
