Jojash
Which file did you download? "CR-HD" has very clear installation instructions in the readme. For the other one you just need to open one of the two folders, "Lore-friendly" or "custom", and extract the folder within to your data folder. Jojash
I've never used NMM, but if it wasn't made for NMM, I'd just try replacing your textures the way I suggested earlier. You're trying to create an .esp to install the textures correct? This is not what you should be doing, if there's no .esp in the download, why try to make one? If you've got New Vegas installed on Steam, the path for your data should be something like, "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Data". I feel like I'm doing a poor job explaining what you need to do here. Let me try again. Most mods you download are either esp, or and esm files, no? This means that they are plugin files and change various things in your game, such as adding items, people quests or whatever. You are not downloading either of those types of files. You're downloading image files this time. This means that you're not really adding anything to the game. What you can do with those files is replace other image files with them. This will give whatever object that normally uses those textures the image files you've downloaded. In your case, this will change the desert ranger armour's texture. I can write you a step-by-step guide on how to do this if you'd like. Just send me a PM. Also, let me apologise if I'm coming across as impatient, I'm just rather rushed at the moment. Anyway, best of luck! :)

Jojash
I think you're right. But it looks fairly simple to install without. I'm still not entirely sure on which one you're using... If you're using "CR-HD", just open the readme and follow the instructions there, it should still work, unless NMM stops you from manually installing things? If you're using the other one, I'll write you a guide on what to do. It's possible of course, that I'm completely misunderstanding and that it's totally possible with NMM, as I said before, I've never used it myself...
