how do I use FOMM?

Look, I know this is prolly posted somewhere obvious, but I just spent 30 minutes searching everywhere on the web including this forum and I must have missed it. I found FOMM and downloaded it (Fall Out Mod Mgr) but I just don't understand how to use it. I used one for Oblivion and it works great b/c you never have to worry about permanently erasing the game's origianl content; you just plugged in and out mods as you liked. I would very much like to do that here. If anyone can point me in the correct direction of a good tutorial that would help. I went to Timeslip's Tutorial page but it didn't seem to explain where to put FOMM or how to open it. Thanks!!

Well first of all, what are you trying to do?

Extract files from bethesdas BSAs? if so, all you need is BSA unpacker, (button on the right side) click that and find your fallout3 data folder and start poking around.

Thanks all. hmm, ok, I am getting closer I think. Um, the mod I want to use is esp file I think called "Real Stimpacks.esp" So, I put FOMM in the F3 folder and clicked on it and i see on the left a check box for "Fallout3.esm" Do I check that? Also the esp file isn't showing anywhere... does it need to be a BSA file? Thanks!

nevermind I think I figured it out. I need to move the ESP files to the DATA folder. Then run FOMM by clicking FOMM.exe, LOOKING ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE SCREEN, and clicking Fallout3.esm. Then I can check whatever esp files I want. YEAH!! Thanks for your earlier help, it pointed me in the right direction!

If you just want to run a mod, drop the files into your Data folder and run the game using the Fallout Launcher (main icon on your start bar)

Then when you see the popup menu, click Data Files, and check off the mods you want to load.
