foxhoman
So I've started a new character named Ariel (my older sister's name is Ariel) who enjoys beating little children and kicking puppies. Ok, that was a joke at my sister's expense. Anyway, I'm using the Templar armor from Mancika - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25642 - And it has some great weapons, but I'm using a one handed axe, since I almost never use them I thought it'd be fun. So I was wondering if there is anyone out there who might want to make some very holy looking weapons. Almost like the dagger in the movie 'Priest' where the bottom of the cross comes off and there is a blade, but with swords and axes. Like a larger cross where one of the limbs broadens into an axe head with maybe a biblical quote on the shaft. Or a sword where the crosspiece forms a crucifix or something. I'm not a very religious person, so I'm not very familiar with the symbolism and stuff, but since my character is very paladin looking I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could make a few one handed weapons to match it. With great thanks, FoxHoman
Somnazul
This is a good idea, but at the same time, I must say that a cross is not a valid symbol in Skyrim. They don't have the Christian religion or Jesus who died on the cross which made the symbol anything holy or positive (ultimate sacrifice) considering that it used to stand for harsh punishment to criminals.Your best bet for valid paladin symbols could be from Vigilants of Stendarr or The Dawn Guard in Skyrim or even Knights of the Nine in Cyrodiil. Course, the mod you went with already has symbols from Catholic Templars... so I dunno. Just mentioning this is all; it is not important to everyone. foxhoman
I played Oblivion a few years ago with my cousin (I never owned it) But what kind of weapons you think would be more lore friendly, yet would fit in with my idea?
Somnazul
Hmm... that is tough. I would think combining the Amulet of Kings as background with the symbol of Akatosh in front since that is the Aedra whose avatar stopped Mehrunes Dagon. Which this has been done already with the advent of Skyrim's symbol.http://www.imperial-library.info/sites/default/files/akavr_banner.jpg So, all you'd have to do is make one (or multiple parts) of the dragon's body be hilts for a concealed knife or dagger. I do have to say that the Dawnguard symbol shows a lot of promise itself. The center circle could be a small shield (called a targe) strapped on the arm for light armor, plus the sides having the longer lines coming out being the handles for knives.Or just have it as the shield it is and have weapons in it.http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20121125133227/elderscrolls/images/3/33/Dawnguard_Banner.png There's two options right there! :)
foxhoman
Or you could probably make the DawnGuard symbol on the pommel of a sword, or the head of a mace.
