  1. So I did some searching, and couldn't find a mod for this rifle, and thought I'd just ask if anyone could make it? I've seen a lot of weapon mods, but not many have really caught my eye. However, (and please keep in mind I know next to nothing about guns, other what the odd bits I've seen on the Discovery Channel, and my really red neck, awesome-as-hell cousin have taught me) if I were in a post apocalyptic world, this looks like a sturdy, reliable rifle. The kind you'd want to have around. I've been using the Hunting rifle mostly (my favorite weapon) because it also looks kind of beat up, like its gotten a lot of use, and both rifles (in my opinion) look like something relatively easy for a vault dweller to get their hands on shorty after leaving Vault 101.. I'll leave the decisions of damage, accuracy, etc to whoever wants to take up a project like this, but I do make a request that it be repairable with components relatively easy to find (like hunting rifles, or even scrap metal maybe) a link to the wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ross_rifle Sincerely, and best of luck, -FoxHoman EDIT: As a side note, I'd be very grateful if the mod could be compatible with RH IronSights, as I'm currently using that mod and really enjoy being able to use sights rather than just a cross-hair.
  2. So I've been playing Skyrim again for a bit on my new computer (AlienWare laptop, capable of running the game on Ultra) on Ultra settings, and I have to admit that these graphics are NOT what I expected from the highest detail level. My main problem is with the vegetation. Grass is flat-looking, and so are some tree branches. From a distance, they're fine, but if I'm hunting animals for pelts to make leather, it becomes very noticable and quite distracting. I was hoping somebody might know some mods that make these things look just a little bit better, but without putting unreasonably extra strain on my system? If nothing else, filling them out a bit so they're not paper thin? Nothing breaks the feelings of stalking your prey quite like having abnormally flat leaves everywhere you look. Also, as a side note, while I'm asking I don't suppose anyone knows any mods that move the eye that shows your detection? I turned my crosshairs off for the added difficulty of having to line up arrows without any help, but since I'm sneaking alot, and the eye acts as a crosshair, it kind of defeats the point of what I'm doing. Best Wishes, FoxHoman
  3. I meant that I had gone through all of Helgen with Hadvar, but split up with him when you exit the cave and he says 'Its probably best if we split up.' How big are cells, anyway? Like, how far away from him do I have to be before it counts as being in different cells.
  4. So I was escaping Helgen, and split up with Hadvar, and got to thinking. If a Hadvar speaks in the forrest, and you are not around to hear him, does he make a sound?
  5. I think it would be best to set it on a time trigger (if possible) otherwise I'd just walk in and out three times and boom a safe house appears. So maybe it changes once a week over a month in the game? that way it gives it a somewhat believable clean up time and prevents you from just walking in and out. But I personally would like to see this too. Maybe you could put in a small room with a quarter master in it where you can sell them your spare weapons and armor, or they give you a quest like 'bring us five iron swords' and they pay you for them instead of a shop (swords don't do you any good if you don't have hands to use them) I also like the idea of an evolving area around the game, and have a reason for it too. I mean, RiverWood is pretty defenseless against a dragon, and why toss away a good cave with massive iron doors? You have my support :)
  6. I meant 200 dollar laptops, not that all over-the-counter is crappy. But the stuff that runs games on minimum detail at 3 FPS like my computer before this one. And thanks, I'll check them out. EDIT: Also, as a side note (hopefully to prevent an argument over who's PC is best) Given that I'm 16, I'd say I was lucky to have gotten a 2k computer, since the 15k+ my cousin is spending on his computer is a bit (by a bit I mean WAAY WAAAAAAY WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY) over kill for me right now.
  7. So after a few months I've dropped myself back into Skyrim with my new computer (AlienWare M18X as opposed to a crappy over-the-counter laptop (EDIT I mean cheap crappy computers you walk in, drop a hundred bucks, and walk out with, not that all over-the-counter computers are bad) i used for gaming) and am playing a Thief. But I've got no mods anymore. So I'm asking if anyone can maybe make a Thief armor mod for me? I was inspired by the new Thief trailer (its super bad ass, in my opinion) so I'm a bow/dagger usin' sneak-thief. I was thinking about if I was a thief, what would i want to wear? I came up with maybe a long leather duster, or something with a lot of pockets for your 'goods', and a mask, obviously. So I pulled up the mask/hood from Thief, and a jacket I liked (but feel free to make changes if you feel its necessary). Also, since I mentioned I also use dagger, if maybe there could be a dagger on the belt, that would be fantastic, but I'm sure there is already a mod like that. My deepest gratitude to anyone who might make this mod, or point me in the direction of a good mod like it (I've made dozens of searches, and havn't found one. All I've found are either low quality, or excessively skimpy) and I can guarantee it will be put to good use. Also if its stats could be level (or better) than DragonScale, I think that would be better since I can get legendary enchanted DS by level 30, so anything less will become obsolete quite quickly for me, but I'll leave that up to the creator. And again, Thanks. Fox Homan.
  8. I'd carry a coffin around on my back. Never know when you might need one, out in the wastes and what not ;)
  9. Haha you sir get an applause.
  10. So I was in the car with my family going up to see my cousins today, and I was watching 'Repo - The Genetic Opera' on my sis' IPad. And then I noticed the Repo Man's clothes, and thought it really might fit well into Fallout 3. I thought maybe if the genco logos were replaced with rad signs then it really does look like a radiation suit. Its got a helmet that lights up on the inside and all that, and I thought that my character would look super bad ass with a suit of armor like that. Don't suppose there is anyone out there who might be willing to make a suit like this? I thought maybe if the stats were on the upper end of light armor, and it had some rad resistance due to the whole mask and what not, it would fit in quite well. Ok, well I can't seem to upload a picture, but if you just head on into google and search up 'Repo The Genetic Opera The Repo Man' you should get the idea. thanks in advance to anyone who might be interested in undertaking this idea, and please let me know as soon as its finished so I can begin badassery ASAP! EDIT: SUCCESS!!! I managed to get a picture uploaded (I think)
  11. Now THATS called loyalty :)
  12. Yeah, I have an AlienWare M18X, so its running fine on ultra settings, so I know its not my computer =P And I go it working a few hours ago actually, it seems I missed a letter when I typed those lines in and turned threads into treads. Its working pretty well now, though I do get the occasional crash, but its not as bad as every 30 seconds. Thanks though :)
  13. Hey everyone. So I got Fallout 3 last night for my 16th birthday, (well, early since I might not see my aunt again before I head back out-of-country) but the problem is I'm having the problem alot of people have where it crashes when using windows 7, I got it off Steam, and I tried a couple of things like going into the task manager-processes-restricting it to 1 CPU drive (I think it was CPU, though my vision ain't that great) and it still crashes for me anywhere between 10-20 minutes in. So if any one has a more recent method of fixing this problem, I would be very happy to hear it. Also, I'm not sure if there is a thread like this already, so if there is I'm very sorry. The best in your ventures, FoxHoman
  14. Haha, 'God Cops' :D Yes, a mod where a high king is chosen would be sweet. Depending on your choices I suppose it'd either be Ulfric or that woman. elisif or something, in Solitude.
  15. I personally like this idea :) the first time I'd ever even heard of a Necromancer was in diablo II, where it was rare for me not to have a small army of undead follow me around (usually 20 or so summons total, even more once I got the skill to revive enemies) and the sound of being able to send undead around and have another small (or large) army of them makes me quite happy
  16. So I used to play Guild Wars 2, but stopped because of an update, and since I only get 8gb of downloads per month because internet in this country is miserable, I simply couldn't afford to download it. But I do like Logan Thackeray's armor, and thought it would fit in well into Skyrim. I'm not sure how hard it would be to make it, since I'm not a modder, though I did take a digital animation class a few years ago, it ended before any character design because people stopped paying and so they cancelled it. Here is a picture of Logan Thackeray: If anyone would take time to build this armor for Skyrim, I'd be very thankful, as it would look good on just about any warrior type in my opinion. Wish you the best, FoxHoman P.S. since in Guild Wars 2, in character creation you can choose your character's armor colors, which adds a personal touch to pretty much any appearance in the game (something I'm quite fond of, since not many MMOs I've played offer any personalization other then what you can mix and match) if you have the right color set you can make the design on the cloth a light blue, but because of file size restriction I can't upload another picture. But if a variant like that could be made, it would be awesome for a follower. So they are kinda dressed like you, but not exactly the same. And again, a big thanks to anyone who might be willing to do this.
  17. My old computer ran my game at 3FPS or lower in battles or large detailed areas, except like you said in menu screens or the console menu, and I still beat the game several times. So its probably just that your computer isn't (or is barely) good enough to run the game rather then you needing a mod to speed up the game, unless this is the only place you have an FPS problem?
  18. So as anyone who plays Skyrim with the HearthFire DLC knows, placing objects in your display cases can be a real pain. I spent about an hour and a half straight trying to set up an Ancient Falmer Crown with a dagger in my armory and just gave up because I realized I'd probably never get it the way I wanted. I'm not sure about the other TES games, but at least in skyrim the whole manually placing just about anything is miserable in my opinion. You have no control over rotation, little control, in many of my cases at least, over where you grab the item. So I might want to move the blade of something to tweak the placement in the display case, and it grabs the hilt instead and screws the whole thing up. So after my little tirade (sorry about that by the way) I'm pretty much just done working with display cases in my HearthFire houses from now on, but there is still a nice slot of space there, and I was wondering if anyone could just replace the display cases with weapon racks? I'm not a modder, I've looked at the CK, but never really had the time to figure it out, but I can't really imagine this is a monumental mod, just swapping out one piece of furnature with another. It would also let you display your weapons more in plain view rather then the racks in the corners without the hassle of setting things in cases. I've searched several times but can't find mods for either making placing things easier or putting weapon racks instead of display cases, which is mainly why I'm making this thread. My gratitude to anyone who might take the time to do this, FoxHoman P.S. if I'm mistaken and my searches missed something, I'd also be happy to be pointed in the right direction.
  19. This would be quite neat actually :) It would also make being a vampire hunter/werewolf hunter etc more entertaining, knowing at any given moment the switch could be flipped and they'd ambush you for a change. Unlike that 'Vampire Assassin' who just walked right past me like a moron. I'd download it.
  20. Are you sure? I've had HearthFire for months now, and never once have they been kidnapped.
  21. So as everyone who plays Skyrim with HearthFire knows, bandits and other baddies can attack your hearthfire houses. And I'm not totally sure, but I think kidnappers can attack too. However, they come, I teach 'em why the DragonBorn's name carries so much weight in Skyrim. However, the battles always occur while I'm there, except for the odd drauger I find fertilizing my garden with his corpse. So I got to thinking, what if I was away on some quest for the Jarl, or on a dragon hunt protecting my home land, and the bandits chose then to attack? So my mod idea is really just this: You get a chance (only if your family lives at this house though) that when you get home you'll find your steward/bard/whoever you have there bound up in the basement with the execution hood on their heads, and your family nowhere to be seen, and a note left on your table. Upon reading the note, you find your family has been kidnapped and the bandits are demanding a ransom, which you can either send your steward to pay, which will result in your family's safe return after about 24 hours in-game. the amount demanded scales with your current wealth, so for example maybe 10% of the gold you have in your inventory. Or, if you're in the mood for a good thrashing, you can storm the trenches and teach the bandits who's boss, and that you don't touch senor Dovakiin's things, but that has a small chance that the bandits will kill your wife before you can get to her. Also, I just realized that I only mentioned wives and not husbands above, so sorry about that. I'm a guy, and I tend to do things from my point of view, but to each their own.
  22. I leave an iron dagger on the bed of people who's house I've just burglarized (or beside, if they're sleeping on it. no need to wake them). kind of as in a 'I could have killed you... but I didn't.' attitude ;)
  23. Yeah, that is pretty awesome. Looks like it'd be more at home in an MMO though, but I'd still use it ;)
  24. I usually play my Argonians as warriors for their histskin ability to get huge health regen, or sneaking archers, especially around water. Then I usually come out of the water just enough to shoot, then if I get detected I can stay underwater in the middle of a lake or a river until they go away without drowning. And you don't really need any mods for that, unless you want weapon or armor mods. I also remember a skin tone mod for argonians, though I think I got it off Steam Workshop.
