Peregrine
1) Post in the correct forum. This is not news, therefore it does not belong in the User News section. 2) Go back and find them the hard way. Items do not disappear no matter how long you leave them on the ground. Therefore you just aren't looking in the right place.
Untouchable1
like i've said many times bafore. if you people would just click 'new save game' every time you save it, you'll have dozens of backsaves which you can access at any time in case something goes horribly wrong. <_<
Maquissar
I hope you have at least a vague idea as to where you left those items... a ring isn't actually very easy to find if you just dropped it on the ground! Good luck with your search... if you give up and the ring is nowhere to be found, and you are not a purist, you could consider using the console. It's up to you. 1) Open the console with the tilde button.2) Type player-> additem moon_and_star for the Moon and Star ring. I don't remember what the items from the 4 ashlander camps were, nor do Iremember about the Redoran Locket. Sorry, but it's been a real while since I lastplayed. However, if you remember the item names you can look them up in theElder Scrolls Construction Set to get the code... just type: player-> additem xxx where xxx is the code of the item you need, and you'll have that item in your inventory. Good luck. And... for further reference... the idea of multiple saves is a good one :) And it's fun too... I give different names to my savegames and divide them in chapters,e.g. "Chapter 1: Arrival in Seyda Neen" or "Chapter 2: The Road to Balmora", so if I feel like playing an old part of the game again I can :)
NCBeachBum
I would try going into the area in which you believe you left these items casting a detect enchantments spell (or using a ring, amulet, etc. with the same effect). As Maquissar said, a ring can be a very difficult thing to see, but since it is Moon-and-Star, the enchantment can help your search.
