ArtMurder
First, to be VERY clear, this mod will let you essentially create a 'dynamic' ESP which allows you to overlap save files - Making it so that what one character does in one save file will effect the others it overlaps with, and creating NPC versions of whatever character you are NOT playing as. This is NOT a multiplayer mod, this is NOT an online play mod, this does NOT let you swap characters in-game! This makes it so that all your characters exist in the same skyrim, and can interact with each other. EXAMPLE: You create Character 1, lets call him Frank. Frank starts his journey in the woods outside Riften. He wonders into town, kills Bori, then completes the first quest to join the thieves guild. You save, and exit the game. Now you run the "multi-PC" patch, and relaunch the game. You create Character 2 with the multi-PC patch active. Lets call him Bobby. Bobby starts his journey near Riverwood, spots a dragon, and ends up starting the main quest, then ends up Riften, where he find a Bori dead, an NPC named Frank who looks exactly like your character Frank, and then can not start the thieves guild questline. Bobby and Frank decide to team up, and head to Windhelm. You save, and exit the the game from Windhelm. Now, you re run the 'multi-pc' patch, launch the game again, and start playing as Frank, and suddenly find yourself in Windhelm, with a follower named Bobby! How this mod will work; After saving your game where you want your character to be, and how you want them to be, a 'copy' will be made of him, I will achieve this in one of two ways. A] Pulling up the console and running a BAT B] Use MCM to select what armor, weapons, etc the NPC version of you will use from your inventory (no need to have your ENTIRE inventory in the NPC - unless you want to) This will copy your perks, stats, looks, etc, into an NPC. It will then do a quick 'scan' of your quests and flag any COMPLETED quests. It will also do an "NPC and Home" check, which will check all named NPCs in the game, and flag any that have died, and also flag any purchased homes. You will then run a "Dynamic Patcher" kind of like Sky Proc, that will take this info for all characters you have created it for, and then make an ESP, disabling all flagged quests, marking all flagged NPCs as dead, and disabling the ability to buy flagged homes, and then creating an NPC with the stats/perks/spells/shouts/armor/weapons as each and every character saved by this file. Adding a 'new character' to this will be as simple as adding the ESP to the load order for that character, though his changes won't bee seen on the other characters until you save, run the patcher, and play as another character. If I can figure it out, you will also be able to set 'interaction options' so that the NPC version of that character reacts differently to the PC version of the other character. For example, if you set frank to 'friendly - follower" he would follow you if you asked, if you set him to 'hostile' he'll attack the PC if encountered, and possible other NPCs. This will be fore people who have one really crazy, evil character hiding in a dungeon somewhere, and a heroic good character. by default, all characters will be set as essential, I don't know how to logically allow you to kill your own player without simply deleting all related save files. And I don't think anyone wants that. However, if the characters health falls to zero, having them "teliport away" might work, so you don't end up with an essential pissed of version of your level 80 vampire mage chasing around your level 5 knight angry as swarm of hornets. I also have some ideas for 'copying' any areas own by the PC, so that if you own a house, it will be 'copied' into the ESP, so that all your items will be in your home for your other characters to take! I am not sure how to make this work, or how to make it so that if you take something, it will be gone when you load up your other character. An idea of how the menu will work. Run program; You will be given options of all characters with loadable info (pre created from a save game via BAT or MCM) and the ability to check or uncheck each. Simply uncheck the one you are going to play as! Progress: Pretty much nothing, I am trying to get word around and support for this general idea. Mostly, I'm in the planning stage - I am trying to use logical deduction to see what is and isn't possible with this mod, and trying to line up a way to make this idea work, I've been told I'm not the first with this idea, but that's no reason I can't be the first to make it work! Mod Team: ArtMurder If you can help and want to join the team, message me! I am working diligently on this, but alone, I will probably never finish it!
