SmoKKz0r
I Still Can't absorb dragon souls! after updating my game, and install Unofficial Dragonborn
acidzebra
About 90% of soul absorption problems I've seen were load order related. Skyrim.esmUpdate.esmDawnguard.esmHearthfires.esmDragonborn.esmUnofficial Skyrim Patch.espUnofficial Dawnguard Patch.espUnofficial Hearthfires Patch.espUnofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp Is the load order you want. The other 9% were other incompatible mods. Like "Dragon Soul Absorb More Glorious" which states on the mod description page "not compatible (yet)". If your load order is correct, other mods which alter dragon behavior are likely suspects. The last 1% were stupid things like loading dragoncombatoverhaul.esp either without the dragonborn patches or with the patches loaded before the main mod (again, load order). Somabby
Make a clean start, (or use the first save when you first create a character) and disable all your mods. Load all mods that have nothing to do with dragon souls (or none except the DLC's and the unofficial patches) and continue on. An example quest would be the first slaying of a dragon at the Watchtower by Whiterun. Save before you kill the dragon and load your mods. You'll find out which one interferes with not being able to absorb souls.
SmoKKz0r
i have tried to disable all my mods, and only leave dragonborn and the patch on, and still no absorb. i also tried to disable the patch to see, if that maybe have something to do with it, and still no luck :(

3AMt
The dragon souls are broken here as well. Even with not a single mod installed and a clean and fresh installment of Skyrim, Dawnguard & Dragonborn + A new started game theres no way to absorb them

RebornZA
This is caused by having Skyrim 1.9.32.0.8 (latest) and having the Unofficial Skyrim Patch (1.3.2b), this bug was fixed in Skyrim version 1.9.29.0.8 by having the Unofficial Dragonborn patch with the Unofficial Skyrim Patch (1.3.2b). However the problem has come up again in this version of Skyrim so you will have to wait for a USP update.
