DeltaAgent26
My build is in my signature... My question is, since I only have a 750w PSU, can a 2nd 450w PSU be safely added to supply power to the 2nd video card?IF so, how?
Georgiegril
PSUs do not work that way, a 450 and a 750 dont add up to a 1300 PSU.Unless you spent the mony on a PSU that was specifically designed as a dedicated secondary PSU, then the idea is pretty risky. Newegg has a nice article explaining PSUs and how to choose one.
DeltaAgent26
was hoping to NOT HAVE TO buy a new one, but...oh well... next month or two.... newegg is great, but I have a Micro Center, right down the street from me, so will probably go there, when the time comes. And WHEN I can afford to. Edited April 5, 2013 by DeltaAgent26
Georgiegril
No, I wasn't saying buy from Newegg..the link is information about how PSUs work, and the important things to look for when you are buying a PSU, s you get the right one for your specific MOBO and Graphics card. (Wherever you go to get one).
DeltaAgent26
I am going to get a 1200w CrossfireX certified PSU for about $300 next month. But yes, that was some good info, thank you for that.
