Georgiegril
Not sure how ntune specifically would affect your game, but overclocking certainly could cause crashes.
TheNewAgeElvis
I'm *pretty* sure Ntune automatically overclocks even if the framerate is fine, but I'm not certain on that. If someone knows then we might have our culprit, because I don't know what else it could be. I'm going to test for a few hours and see what happens, but if it's still crashing, then this one is beyond me.
Georgiegril
Not knowing anything about your system--are you sure you want/need to overclock, and that your card responds well to overclocking? Also that you are not overheating as a result?Nvidia Inspector has a much better general driver game profile, and also includes overclocking that is not automatic. There are also other programs like EVGA E-leet, ATI Overdrive, etc.
TheNewAgeElvis
Oh no, I don't need overclocking. I just never bothered to remove Ntune because (A) I had no idea what it did, and (B) Attempting to uninstall it traditionally led to it remaining on my system, no matter what. Georgiegril
What version of windows are you using, and what version of Ntune?
TheNewAgeElvis
I'm on Win 7, but NTune is gone. I have no idea what version it was, but I've logged 2 hours in so far with no crashes. Before, I was getting crashes before 20 minutes. Not entirely sure yet but I think NTune is definitely to blame on this.
