This video helped me out with installing skse. He's on a windows machine but all the files are the same just ignore the part about nexus mod manager, he explains how to do it manually (the part thats important is about 4 mins in). He then explains how to change the launcher names just like at the begining of this thread, only on youtube, so you can launch it from steam. As long as you follow along with him you should be alright. Typing GETSKSEversion into the console should verify if it worked or not, so you'll know whether or not you did it correct (the numbers should match his when he does it). Hope this helps.

I think i followed that and I think SKSE is working right now, but for some reason the console command doesn't work...

SkyUI still works although it takes a bit of time to load

I have another question: Does FNIS work on this version?

I'm reading all these posts and issues and wondering why you wouldn't just make a bootcamp partition and run the game native. It's not the most stable of games in Windows - it's a marginal console port - so why would you compound the grief factor any further? I'm not a fan of Windows either, but I'll gladly put up with it to run a few games on my retina iMac, for no other reason than I like to see them at 4k resolution. I just wish windows did 5k resolution - the hardware can do it.

Hello!! I have a BIG problem with this..........

You said to buy and download Skyrim from Steam, so I did, but it doesn't work, it gives me an error when i tried to install it, saying "an error occurred, invalid platform"...!?!

So how am i going to be able to download it and play when i cant even download it to my iMac becauase it's a windows game...? :(

What am I missing?

I have Skyrim on my iMac atm, it's a torrent, and it runs FINE, running it on Ultra on my iMac,

specs:

21' Late 2013 iMac

processor 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 1024 MB

Software OS X 10.9.2

So what's the deal? I've also tried downloading the wrapper skyrim 2014 link you posted, but im still waiting for my validation email to come through.. so I'm unable to downlaod that yet.

I would just like to have an up=to-date legit version of skyrim running where i can install and use mods!

Skyrim is a windows program. It was never intended to run on OSX . However, a MAC will run windows. BootCamp will work fine and it's built into OSX. You just need a ligit version of Windows to go with it. The problem is many MAC aficionados refuse to use Windows and insist on doing things the hard way. While things like wineskin can run Skyrim, they are not always 100% compatible with all mods. But running a real version of windows through BootCamp on a MAC is 100% compatible.
