IOPASD Posted February 7, 2021 Share Posted February 7, 2021 So, I use Map Marker Overhaul and I select the option to move the Map Markers closer to their locations in-game. Together with another pletora of mods, I also use Let the People Drink, which, among other things, adds a house just outside Charcoal Mine, south of the IC. The problem is that both Map Markers are extremely close to one another WHEN THEY SHOULD NOT BE. The one actually causing the problem is the Map Marker for Charcoal Cave, which is nowhere near its entrance. I thought that maybe one of my mods was clashing with either Map Marker Overhaul or with Let the People Drink, but after loading EVERY single esp on the Construction Set, I realize that the Marker are where they are supposed to be. Pellape Posted February 7, 2021 Share Posted February 7, 2021 Firstly, I have not fiddled much with menus as they are xml files, which are not hard to edit and I guess you can do it your self really and also learn something in the process or we all do here. :D I do not use that mod, But... I thought they where added exact where the map marker is in game as well. Your photo is not easy to see but the cave is not there for sure. It could be so that the coordinates for them might be stored in a xml file or an ini file for Map Marker Overhaul. Have you checked them? IOPASD Posted February 8, 2021 Author Share Posted February 8, 2021 I posted in both mod pages for LTPD and Map Marker Overhaul, so maybe they'll be able to help. But neither of those mods uses xtml files, and their inis do not modify the position of markers, only different settings. The markers are assets used in the construction set, place like any other asset, like a tree, and you are right when you say that they are shown on the map as where they are placed in-game, but it does not make sense when I open the CS (first image) and the markers are not like they appear on the map. I honestly don't know what is modifying their position, because in the CS they seem to be placed correctly. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As it turns out, MMO uses a quest to handle the repositioning of map markers, which is way when viewed on the CS the markers themselves when in the correct position, but are changed out of position when the game starts, because their position is quest-dependent. I modified the script on the quest to move the Charcoal Cave MM to where it should be. Hope this is useful for someone else with this issue.
