Sankese Posted February 7, 2021 Share Posted February 7, 2021 I am trying to make a quest for this mod I have made.https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/45438/I want to make the player collect 12 copies of the book scattered around Whiterun. I want them to recieve 1 gold when they have completed it.I want it to say "1/12" collected "5/12" collected, etc. like it does in skyrim with other quests when you need to collect a certain amount of items.I have been following a guide, but it is not working. I have zero idea what the hell half of the things they are saying and honestly i am getting kinda frustrated with it.Can somebody please walk me through how to make this quest? Sankese Posted February 8, 2021 Author Share Posted February 8, 2021 Okay, i set up your script, replacing Skulls with HSiV1 (my book model title)However, the quest is not appearing in my log. When I do sqv a4009501 (my quest ID) it says its running, and on stage 10 (the stage that should activate when you pick up a single book, which starts the treasure hunt)I'm not sure what's happening. Shadeybladey Posted February 10, 2021 Share Posted February 10, 2021 There are similar quests in Skyrim where you have to collect 20 Nirnroot, 20 Nightshade etc for the Alchemists in Riften. Looking at that is bound to help. The other important thing is you have to test your mod on a save that has never seen your mod. Otherwise scripts get baked in and even when you a re-write a script so that it is correct, it won't work in a saved game where you already loaded the older version. :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
