Lardtree3 Posted January 16, 2009 Share Posted January 16, 2009 Everytime I try to start it, the obse screen flashes and then the screen flickers and then I'm back at my desktop. I've tried both of the esp's that were up for v5.0 (including the rapidshare one) and both do the same thing. I don't think I have anything that conflicts with it. I saw someone had the same problem in the comments for the mod but no one answered him. Any ideas? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
maYuYang Posted January 16, 2009 Share Posted January 16, 2009 Sounds like a load order or DR install problem to me. 1st of all, in order to help you, we need more information, like what mods you use(or at least how many), or which DR plugins you installed. I suggest you reading the DR readme once again, afaik, DR has some requirements to start properly(like the Horescombat.esm which should be loaded last after all other .esm and some plugins which shouldn't be used together). You also have to check your load order, best is to use BOSS, a great tool for checking load order. But you need to sort some of your minor mods afterwards! Also, DR Combat Moves.esp(not sure about the name now) MUST be loaded last. Then, be sure to start Oblivion with OBSE_loader.exe. Varify that you installed if properly(exe + I think 5 .dll).And last but not least, check how many plugins you're loading, might be that you already have more than 255 which would cause a crash. If all those fail, try to track the issue by narrowing the possible crash-causers. Load the game with DR only, if it works, it's probably not the cause(or part of a conflict). Everything else seems fine though, thanks for the tips! EDIT: Nvm it's working. Another question, I've been looking around in the CS for the DC esp to try and make the insta kill spell usable more than once a day and it seems to be in the script but any changes I make to it, the CS won't let me save it.
