Loki2551
So I have several mods installed and one of them is Sexlivion. I was really hyped for this mod, but it doesn't work. I have the Sex Journal and Sexual Tension (henceforth abbreviated to SJ and ST respectively) on a brand new character and straight away went to find the brothel after selling the stuff I picked up while escaping the sewers. The first thing I notice when approaching the brothel is a huge yellow box with an exclamation mark ( ! ) above the door, about where a sign would be. I figure it's no big deal, it's just a sign, and go inside. I talk to Cherry (who doesn't speak audibly, thankfully I re-enabled subtitles just before this when noticing another NPC that didn't speak), pay my 100 gold, and head upstairs. Here's where the problems start. I've tried all kinds of things but I can't get any kind of animations, or really much in the way of reactions from the girls at all. Things I've tried (and their reactions to them): 1. Casting ST (which is iffy at best as to whether it triggers anything at all) and immediately talking to the girl: Usually nothing. I'll get a standard Oblivion NPC interaction UI, with the only options being persuade (the wheel of conversation choices) and rumors. 2. Casting ST and immediately talking, asking about rumors: Nothing. Just standard Oblivion NPC rumor dialogues. 3. Casting ST and immediately talking, going to persuade: Nothing. Just the standard "choose the correct conversation topic" wheel (admire, joke, coerce, boast) like any other NPC. Tried raising it to the max without bribing and nothing, even when asking about rumors. Just standard stuff. 4. Casting ST and waiting: Nothing. She eventually just walks away. Apparently she's supposed to glow purple after a little bit, doesn't happen. 5. Spamming ST: Sometimes I'll get an animation where she kinda looks shy. 6: Spamming ST until I get the "shy" animation, then waiting: Nothing. She eventually just walks away. 7. Spamming ST until I get the "shy" animation, then talking to her: She asks if I want services or want to have some fun or something along those lines. After this, if memory serves the conversation ends. 8. Spamming ST until I get the "shy" animation, then talking to her and using ST again after she asks if I want her services: Nothing. She eventually just walks away. 9. Spamming ST until I get the "shy" animation, then talking to her, then talking to her again after the conversation auto-quits: Nothing. Standard Oblivion NPC interaction UI. 10: Spamming ST until I get the "shy" animation, then talking to her, then talking to her again after the conversation auto-quits and selecting the persuasion option: Nothing. Standard "conversation topic" wheel. Raising disposition doesn't seem to do anything. 11: Spamming ST until I get the "shy" animation, then talking to her, then talking to her again after the conversation auto-quits and selecting rumors: Nothing. Standard Oblivion rumor dialogue. I also can't seem to use the SJ in any way, don't know if that's normal or not. So my question is, how does one go about starting the sexual interaction? Am I missing something? Is it the fact that my character is female (I usually play as a female character)? Does it have something to do with my character's race (Nord)? The fact that my character is a custom class (Tank, basically a refined Barbarian)? Is it a conflict with some other mod? Is my character's level (she's level 1) too low? Is one of her skills (haven't raised any beyond where they start at) too low? Yes, I've tried loading the game through OBSE (which was a little bit of a pain since I have the Steam version of Oblivion) as I saw someone suggest around here for this mod. Sorry to post this in a new thread instead of one of those other ones, but my problem is slightly different as in those other threads people were saying that they could get the sex animations or at least get the girl naked. I can't get to either of those stages. I also didn't want to necro those threads. DLCs installed: All of them Oblivion Mod Manager mod list: Qarl Texture Pack 3 v1.3 (the full version, all 11 parts) Vortex mod list (this is coming from the plugins tab, since some mods have multiple plugins): Better Cities - IC Imperial IsleCannibalismDestroy the Dark Brotherhood - OblivionEvergloamIngredient JarsBlack Hand SanctuaryPopulated PrisonsSexlivion 0.4a Full English v1Thieves Guild Stolen Goods Rate EnhancerVampire Hunting - Order of the Virtuous BloodBetter Cities - Sexlivion 0.4a Full English v1EvergloamNonSIBetter Cities FullBetter Cities ResourcesBetter Imperial CityIBOC-Better Cities PatchIBOC-currencyhandlerIBOC1.6BETAKnights (a fix for Knights of the Nine with Better Cities Cheydinhal, I think) Vortex mods (from the mod tab): Ingredient Jars 1.1Oblivion 1_2_416 EnglishHGECBody NMM-ready (this allows nudity, among other things)Better Cities v6.0.13Cannibalism 1_4Sexlivion Full English v1 ESP ONLYPopulated Prisons 12001s Black Hand Sanctuary - Main fileVampire Hunting OVB 3_2Gold Horse Courier 1.2.3Evergloam - Thieves Guild Continued - Evergloam 120Cuter male moaning voices for Sexdarkness and SexlivionDestroy the Dark Brotherhood - OblivionThieves Guild Stolen Goods Rate Enhancer I got Sexlivion from the following link (in case this isn't the full version or there's another version out there with less issues/conflicts): https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/21135 I'd also like to mention that that page does not list any mod conflicts. I understand that this doesn't mean there won't be any, but there aren't any listed. So am I just doing something wrong? Am I missing something? Did I not do something I was supposed to? Did I do something I wasn't supposed to? Is it a mod conflict? Am I just too low level? Is one of my skills just too low? Do I need to buy something from Cherry or another NPC? Do I need to go on some extra quest to get it to work? Do I need additional mods to get it to work (I've seen that others have some pose mods and animation mods, I plan on getting some of those eventually, once Sexlivion is working)? Is it because my character is female? Is it because my character is a custom class (Tank, a more refined Barbarian)? Is it because my character is a Nord? What's going on? Please help, like I said I'm super hyped for this mod. I can provide screenshots of my mod loaders, screenshots of the Data Files window (from the Oblivion launcher, as there are a couple mods that I've disabled due to conflicts), in-game screenshots, system and hardware specs, and anything else needed. I'm pretty tech-savvy. ^_^ Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this lengthy post and for any insight you might provide. EDIT: I was incorrect about the dialogue auto-exiting in "shy mode". It instead goes to the regular dialogue menu. Like regular for NPCs. Additionally, I have tried downloading Sexdarkness (the upgraded version), along with Pluggy (required for Sexdarkness) and Silent Voice (also required for Sexdarkness) and that fixed the sign issue above the door. However, I have tried disabling ALL mods EXCEPT Better Cities, Better Cities Sexlivion patch, Sexdarkness, the texture mod (disabling that causes problems with the world), Better Cities Imperial City (IC), Pluggy, Silent Voice, and better Cities Imperial Isle. STILL can't get sex to trigger with any of the girls. I read somewhere that the girls are supposed to cast ST at the player, but it's like they don't know that spell or something, because they never cast it on me. I've also now tried both as a female Nord and a male Imperial, no change. I also can't figure out how Sexdarkness is different or where to go or what to do to trigger/start it. Pellape
I do not think you will like my answer but start disabling Better Cities and reinstall this mod again and also install skyBSA so the exclamations disappears... ;) There must be other ways to meet girls in the game than paying them for their services? ;) Just a thought that crossed my mind Better Cities did give me loads of problems - It could be anything really but flush it as I say it is crap. All so far that have issues with Oblivion also ran Better Cities or Oblivion Reloaded, who seems to cause 90% of all problems
Loki2551
I do not think you will like my answer but start disabling Better Cities and reinstall this mod again and also install skyBSA so the exclamations disappears... Better Cities did give me loads of problems - It could be anything really but flush it as I say it is crap. All so far that have issues with Oblivion also ran Better Cities or Oblivion Reloaded, who seems to cause 90% of all problems I actually solved the exclamation mark problem. Installing Sexdarkness seemed to fix it and now the brothel has a sign over its door. However, the interaction issues still remain. Pretty sure I edited my post to mention the exclamation mark being fixed. Regardless, a missing sign isn't really much of a problem in any event, nor is a giant exclamation mark over a door in a corner of the Imperial City Marketplace District that I'll rarely visit and thus rarely see. My problem isn't with the exclamation mark, it's the fact that interacting with the NPCs of this mod seems to be totally broken. Uninstalling/reinstalling Better Cities is not an option. Firstly, If you knew anything at all about Sexlivion, you'd know that the brothel is actually located in a corner of the Imperial City Market District that doesn't exist normally (between a new bookstore and a scribe shop that normally aren't there) without Better Cities. Secondly, I'm absolutely LOVING Better Cities. I've had a couple random crashes while using it, but nothing more than minor inconveniences and it adds so much content. New stores, entire new areas in cities, gives the cities a much-needed "face lift" so to speak, etc. For instance, the entire Imperial City Market District gets a whole new look to it that I find much better, plus a LOT of new shops are added, including a second level of shops (upstairs, center area of the market). Places like the Waterfront District of the Imperial City and most of Bravil also look more like an overcrowded shanty town, thus adding to the feel of those places. Skingrad also gets a bit of a rework with Better Cities (including two new areas outside the city walls that are basically little suburbs), Bravil even gets a dock, and the Imperial City gets an Aristocratic District with new houses to break into, including a residence for the Emperor. I'm absolutely LOVING this mod, sorry that you don't. I'm not going to uninstall a huge mod that I'm loving (or even reinstall it and risk that it doesn't work) for a tiny mod that's an unknown at the moment. That just doesn't make sense. There must be other ways to meet girls in the game than paying them for their services? Just a thought that crossed my mind Honestly it seemed like an interesting concept and I hadn't come across anything that added sexual content into the game. Besides, if you know anything about Sexlivion at all (there's literally a walkthrough on Sexlivion's mod page, at least the version I got, and I skimmed some of it), you know that the mod also gives you access to a new shop with new items (not really very interesting ones for the most part, honestly), there's a basement to the place with very high level alchemy equipment that you can get from level 1 (master level retort and expert level alembic, if memory serves) and if you complete the quest line you also get the brothel itself as a reward. Not sure if this means extra income or just a house in the Imperial City Market District or both, but it sounded interesting. Besides, it adds a new quest line and when you've played the game as many times as I have that's a very, very good thing. Honestly though, this line of your reply isn't funny and doesn't help. Don't mod-shame bro. Edited February 14, 2021 by Loki2551
Pellape
When I did try the Better Cities, I visited every shop, got my head to spin around as there was so many things to do and I liked it, no dount, the feeling it gives you and the immersion. I did that as lvl 1, when i just had come out from the sewers but after I left IC and saved, the save files got corrupt and useless. When it comes to alchemy, there are other ways to get plenty of resources and one way id to use my bloody house mod... I never run out of resources for making the base potions. My merchants are selling the cheaper ingredients in my shop called the Fence in the basement. MOO also allow you to harvest loads of plants at the same time with a hand scythe and I also made Maskar a new one that comes later with MOO. Well, I do not think I can add more ideas really. I do not use Sexlivion. I can only do some common brainstorming and use some basic logic. Edited February 14, 2021 by Pellape
