Kerry can do just about anything in office and he'll do it better than Bush has.

Please, explain...

I'm not taking either side here, but vague promises of "I'll do it better than the other guy" are NOT a good thing! If that's the extent of his planning, then it would be pure insanity to vote for him.

The real question is weather you would have done the same thing.

Personally, i probably would have taken the first chance i saw to go home, but maybe thats me. I dont care about Kerry and Bush. I will decide on who has better politics. They were both in the army and just because they might have wimped out in the end doesnt mean they didnt serve their country. They served and then they left. Now they want to be president. This is just a piece of crap floating around society to tarnish a persons name.

Here's the site of George W.Bush's political agenda, to be more fair, since Kerry's has already been posted:

...for what it's worth. I don't know why, but I get the strange feelings that what John Kerry and George Bush PROMISE will be very different from what they actually DO if they get elected. It's amazing how elections look much more like showbusiness than an actual political event!

Would you die for your country?

A great general once said, "Boys, the point of war isn't to die for your country but, to make that other dumb idoit die for his country." (I cleaned this one up a little ^_^ and probably misspelled something.)

I'm a Democrat, but I was a little upset that Kerry (I don't know how good my source is actually, correct me if this is a rumor) went against orders during Vietnam to get into action and kill some people. He was supposed to stay put, he didn't, and some people got killed.

But going AWOL is another story. Atleast Kerry showed up. (wasn't Kerry crewing some kind of boat? that sounds pretty dangerous in Vietnam.) Regardless of how Kerry got injured, he got injured, because he was there.

You can almost ALWAYS judge a man by his kids. Bush has 2 daughters, correct? (Again, correct me if I'm wrong) Didn't they get caught with a fake ID? What about the Kerry kids? All 4 of them? 2 adobted boys and 2 girls. Very active politically, in a good way. His whole family is there for him, standing by him and making him look good.

The time he went 'back' under fire was to pull a special forces soldier out of the river. He saved the guy's life and didn't lose any of his men. He was wounded in the shoulder while running onto the bow of the boat to pull the guy out...and still got the guy to safety.

Another time, they were under fire and he saw a VC on the bank with a RPG trained right on him. Without hesitation, while staring down the barrel, he ran his boat up on the bank, and over the guy with the RPG, then jumped onto the bank and shot the VC. Everyone came home.....except the VC, of course.

Swift boat duty was some of the most hazardous duty in Vietnam. Their job was to go up river and draw fire so they could locate the enemy. They were pretty much exposed the whole time. The boats had wooden hulls and no armor. Kerry volunteered for that. If he hadn't done anything BUT the primary objective of drawing fire in an exposed condition, he would still be a hero. And he IS.

Bush was a chicken. Plain and simple. He got daddy to pull strings for him so he could be a drunken coke head. And...he was a deserter...thus a traitor. How anyone could even remotely compare their service is remarkable. One, Kerry, was a true hero....the other, Bush, was a drunken, coked up chicken. BOTH were rich kids who could have gotten out of it. One didn't...one did.

Thank you for clearing that up. I wasn't sure and it sounded biased to me when I had read it so.... eh, *shrug*

It's probably pretty obvious that I'm a Kerry Fan ^_^

Especially after he gave that hamster mouth to mouth... hehehehe, a hero for all? ^_^

I think people fail to realize that Bush didn't dodge the war. He joined the National Guard... You still have a very big chance of going to war if you are in the National Guard. (Ex: War with Iraq had some people from National Guard sent)

I wouldn't call it dodging... Besides how many other Americans snuck in to Canada to avoid war? Dodging a war is very unamerican and really don't think Bush did it...
