Also in Australia under TPG and experiencing similarly terrible download speeds.

I live in NZ and had like 30kbps speeds. Fixed it by using a vpn and connecting to US servers.

These kinds of "me too" posts aren't particularly helpful, please follow our Troubleshooting Guide is the OP did and we'll do our best to help you once you've posted the results.

Hey there.

Thanks for doing the tests.

So the first thing you need to be aware of is that your 1MB/s or 2MB/s speed (depending on your adblocking status) is shared across as your simultaneous downloads. Meaning if your limit is 1MB/s and you download two files at the same time you'll get ~500KB/s on each of them. Can you see if your speed is still less than expected if you download 1 file at a time?

Based on your results, the maximum speed your connection can handle would be 3-4MB/s. That's not far off your internet speed (46.75mbps = 5.8MB/s) however, it looks like you are connected to the USA servers which were incredibly busy at the time. You could try a VPN, however the physical distance from the servers does often cause problems for non-Premium Australian users.
