sus21
Hello, The past two days I have been having very slow download speeds dropping from 1MB/s to 50KB/s and under. I have the latest drivers and have tried restaring router/computer. Is there anything I can do? Hey there. Thanks for doing the tests. So the first thing you need to be aware of is that your 1MB/s or 2MB/s speed (depending on your adblocking status) is shared across as your simultaneous downloads. Meaning if your limit is 1MB/s and you download two files at the same time you'll get ~500KB/s on each of them. Can you see if your speed is still less than expected if you download 1 file at a time? Based on your results, the maximum speed your connection can handle would be 3-4MB/s. That's not far off your internet speed (46.75mbps = 5.8MB/s) however, it looks like you are connected to the USA servers which were incredibly busy at the time. You could try a VPN, however the physical distance from the servers does often cause problems for non-Premium Australian users.
