Unable to use base game meshes when editing an item in Creation Kit

Okay so I'm trying to learn how to create mods for Skyrim using the Creation Kit and I've learn some very basic starting steps but when I try to go and edit an item's model (example: the 1st person model for the Ebony sword) I pull up the window that lets you do that and click "Edit" next to the model name and the file browser comes up. So far so good right? Well when I go to the weapons folder under meshes I only get the weapon meshes for the 3 weapon mods I downloaded from the Nexus. Now I don't want to use them for this because they aren't my creations and I don't want to upset and mod authors out there. Has anyone else ever had this problem and if so do you know how to fix it? I can use the base game models, meshes, and textures and everything just fine to look at in the render window and everything else until I go to try and edit something's model/mesh that when I run into this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ive tried to look the problem up on Google and can find nothing pertaining to this issue.

The game's meshes are packed inside the BSA files. The Creation Kit can read them because its INI file instructs it to do so but it cannot access them for editing. If you want to edit the NIF file, you will need to extract it from the Meshes BSA. Just so you know the Creation Kit cannot be used to edit the actual NIF. You'll need NifSkope at the very least for that. The "edit" button that you see in the CK is for assigning a different NIF file.

Ok so I got them unpacked using BSAopt and can get to them but I am still unable to use them because of an "invalid directory" error. I've also looked that up and found multiple possible causes and and possible fixes for that but none are working. Just to try one of them I had to completely uninstall my AV and the solution still didn't work. The problem is being caused by the files being marked as read only but no matter what I do to change and fix that the files automatically instantly reset to read only. I have tried every solution I can find to fix this and like I said nothing works. my account is the only one on the PC and is the Administrator of the system and yet nothing I do fixes this problem. At this point I've come to all but deciding that I'm not allowed to make mods. If anyone has had this issue and know how to fix it please let me know.

Things I've tried:

Granting full admin control to my account

Turning off Controlled Folder Access (I had to uninstall my AV just to even try this one and then it still didn't work)

Command Prompt "attrib -r +s Drive\<path>\<folder> (Though admittedly I was unable to use this method fully due to the fact that I wasn't sure what the path was or how to find it)

"Take Ownership" to set me as the literal owner of all files on the HD (still no luck)

That's all I can think of off the top of my head that I tried. I anyone makes a suggest that is not listed but that sounds familiar I'll try it to make sure before just writing it off. And before anyone suggest getting new AV, just don't the only AVs I trust cost money that I don't have the one I use is the only one that I can use because its free from my service provider.

Basically what's going on is my PC is making everything on my HD that can be read only and won't let me change it despite the fact that I am listed as the owner of the drive and have full control of all functions. Every time I try to change anything from read only it runs the process of making the change and then instantly changes it back to read only. Basically my PC is telling me to go F myself.
