mayamibits
I'm running the Wrye Mash Polemos Fork (https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/45439). Basically, whenever I click on the master list to update files (for savegame cleaning), this error pops up: "Unable to proceed with your changes. No changes have been saved. This has probably happened because some (or one) of your master files in the save's master list contain unknown characters.Try renaming the target master files before adding them to the master list." I thought at first it had something to do with the "fixit" command in tes3cmd (I won't do it anymore) and so I re-installed. Started up a game with no mods, saved, and it popped out again. So I thought it had something to do with me running Wrye Mash through MO2, and so I started the game directly through its exe and saved. The save appeared in Wrye Mash, but attempting to update the master list resulted in the same error. The results are the same whether or not I run MCP. Why could this be happening? I'm running the game in English, and the .esms don't have any weird characters. I've already re-installed twice now - nothing changed. Any ideas would be appreciated. Oblivionaddicted
I have the same problem since I modified some of my mods. Wrye mash 64 bits doesn't deactivate any plugin or esm by the way. EDIT: I get the following when I try to repair all in my savegames.Traceback (most recent call last): File "mash\masher.pyo", line 9624, in Execute File "mash\mosh.pyo", line 5884, in refresh File "mash\mosh.pyo", line 5946, in load File "mash\mosh.pyo", line 1811, in getRefmash.merrors.Tes3Error: <exception str() failed> Edited February 18, 2021 by Oblivionaddicted

leonardo2
Did you guys figure out what was causing this? I'm also getting this error now.I wouldn't be surprised if that issue is from Yacoby's Wrye Mash fork (people need to use the Wayback Machine, if anyone wants to read that thread on the old BSF) of Melchor's WMSA. There is also Sharlikran's WMSA to use and I know it's working since I tested the code in late 2017. Still using it without having a single problem.
