niston
Setting the WorkshopSnapTransmitsPower actor value 1.0 lets us have pieces that transmit power. Meanwhile, the PowerRadiation actor value lets us define pieces that radiate power. But: Will power radiation work if a piece gets it's power through snapping, as opposed to through a wire? I don't see why it shouldn't - But I can't get my snapped piece to radiate power.Perhaps I'm just missing something, or can somebody confirm that it won't work? Here's my snappable piece that should radiate power. It obtains power from the object it is snapped to. And in case you're wondering what this is for: __
niston
Interesting, in the mod VerticalConduits.esl, there is a conduit radiator. So I suppose it *is* possible to have a snapped piece radiating power. It's got the PowerRadiation and WorkshopSnapTransmitsPower AVs and the WorkshopCanBePowered keyword. As you can see above, I've got all these AVs/keywords on my snappable piece as well, but it doesn't work - no power is radiated.I wonder why... *sigh*
pepperman35
The DLC05ConduitCeilingRadiator01 snaps and transmits power so it must work, right?
niston
Yep. The snappable radiator in verticalconduits also works fine. So it's entirely possible.I just can't get it to work. Idk.
niston
Got it to work by slightly moving the snap point on the pole towards where the pole pig would snap.*shrug*
pepperman35
Another problem bites the dust. You are on a roll.
niston
Yay  Connectors are silver/metal and connect any attached wires to the pole itself. Isolators are brown and do not connect to the pole.
