arnett001 Posted April 13, 2013 Share Posted April 13, 2013 I just got fallout 3 for steam, and I can't get past the start screen- it crashes as soon as I click play. quicksilverva Posted April 28, 2013 Share Posted April 28, 2013 arnett, Go to your install directory, copy fallout_default.ini, then go back to Documents\My Games\Fallout3, and paste a copy of the fallout_default.ini renaming it to FALLOUT.ini. If that doesn't work, delete the FALLOUT.ini you just created, then try to launch Fallout 3 through the default launcher. A pop up box will appear stating that Fallout will detect your current video setting and select a default graphics setting to match. This will also generate a FALLOUT.ini.
