Sea_Dog62
Please excuse this noob that hasn't got a clue on how to do mods, but I have an idea and was hoping someone could maybe help. I'm a big fan of Fantasy Art and my favorite artist is Frank Frazetta. He had a character called Death Dealer. I was wondering if one of you most gracious and most fantastic modders could either create an armour or a race or a character fashioned after Mr. Frazetta's character. Here are some links to help out: http://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc...thdealerIII.jpghttp://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc...athdealerII.jpghttp://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc...athdealerVI.jpghttp://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc=ffcolr29.jpghttp://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc=mhalbum.gifhttp://www.frazettaartgallery.com/gallery/...h-dealer-lg.jpghttp://www.frazettaartgallery.com/gallery/...aler-helmit.jpg Now, I don't know if it is possible or not, I just thought it would be a cool character for the Oblivian world. He also had some other characters I thought would be cool. here are their links: http://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc...lverwarrior.jpghttp://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc=ffc18.jpghttp://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc...even_Romans.jpghttp://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc...epellucidar.jpghttp://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc...epellucidar.jpghttp://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc...darkkingdom.jpghttp://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc..._vampirella.jpghttp://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc...pirella1996.jpghttp://frankfrazetta.org/viewimage.php?loc=f100.jpg I would truely love to see Death Dealer come to being, but Vampirella would be cool, too. If it would be a copyright infringement, let me know. Or, if I'm asking too much, let me know and I'll go away. It's just that I see so many great mods you guys do and I just thought I'd ask. Thanks. dezdimona
there is a clothing mod that allows you to make your female character look like vampirella. I know I've also seen a conan mod or save game here also. Frazetta is also one of my favorites!
Sea_Dog62
Yeah, someone gave me a link to the Vampirella. It's in Chingari and Ismelda Demon Race _ EC - UFF -Bab support, the Molag_Bal_s_Treasury_1.2.7z has the Vampirella out fit in it. As for the Conan, though, I don't think that's what I'm looking for. But thank you ever so much for replying, your most gracious Goddess, dezdimona.

myrmaad
No. I was reading Heavy Metal back in the 70s, I'll bet before you were born, and have always been into fantasy lit and art. The trouble is, while those are great inspirational pieces for beautiful armors, I don't have the skill in blender to make those, so there was really no reason to comment before now, when you made your posting of an image into some kind of mental challenge. exanimis
Heavy Metal magazine, what a great read. I still read it. I grew up reading SciFi and adventure books like Tarzan, Pellucidar and Conan. In the seventies you couldn't go into a bookstore and check the sci fi section without seeing the work of Frank Frazetta. Frazetta has always been one of my favorite artists and I plan to have a sort of tribute to him in my Pellucidar mod. Anyone who paints or draws heroic characters owes a dept of gratitude to him and that is why most artists refer to Frazetta as the master. He is the best there is at what he does. As far as his armor being made for Oblivion, I think it would only disappoint. It isn't the people, the armor or the weapons that have made him the master, it is the mood that the paintings project. Looking at his work you can feel the strength, the stress, the anger and the power of each warrior. Frazetta has a dark and sometimes disturbing feel to his works and I don't think anyone could capture that feel in a set of armor. I have no doubt that if the armor were to be made it would be downloaded many times but the wearer would never have that feeling of dread, that feeling of shear power that are in the masters paintings. But that wouldn't matter to me. I too would love those armors to be recreated for Oblivion, I don't understand why the trend is so much toward hentai/anime type armors, except that the most skillful among us are young asians. If I had half the talent these are what I'd be making as well as a ton of other similar things that are in my inspirations folders. The original poster didn't have this idea first, my inspirations folder are full of these and many others, like them. Don't get me wrong, I like many of the hentai/anime armors precisely because they are so beautifully made, but I have an emotional connection to these oldskool fantasy armors. exanimis
I have a large collection of Frazetta's works in my photobucket account. I've been putting them in there for years. When I first started modding his art was always in my mind. While I will not be making the exact armor as in his paintings, that type of armor has always been my plan. If you look back a few months on the request thread you can see that I made a request for something similar to the cavemen depicted in his paintings and I posted a few of his paintings. I still plan to add those cavemen to my mod and I come closer to accomplishing it each day. Those barbarians, those cavemen, those round bottomed women, those armors and weapons will all find their way into my mod if I can do it. They will not be playable but I want to see them in Pellucidar. I have worked for four months on this mod and I have little to show for it. Other than a generated, terrained worldspace with the beginning of two cities all I have are a few dozen meshes. When I finally do learn to place my meshes, textured and animated with collision, I will be ready to add them all and this mod will take a giant leap forward. What I have learned in those four months is probably equal to a year or more to the average person. I'm not bragging, it's just that I am disabled. I spend anywhere from eight to sixteen hours a day learning the programs and practicing what I need. If I've averaged ten hours a day on these programs for four months then that is one thousand two hundred hours learning blender and the CS, most people don't have that much free time in a year.
