Essential Follower Bleedout Time

Recommended Posts

Hey. new to moding and haveing some troubles.

currently running with around 80 solid mods. everything is working great, the only issue i have is with the essential followers.

there bleedout time is just too fast. is there a way to change the value? im about the immersian and i dont like how they seem to pop back up after "dying" and i wish they would stay down for a bit longer.

tried googling and really didnt find to much that was usefull.
i know there is a line you can set for actors when they enter bleedoutstate and add a -hpreg effect on them. and then on exitbleedout take off the -hpreg but i dont exactly know how to go about this.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Whoa 80 mods, dont try to reach it to 100 or might cause some stuttering, missing meshes or textures or both.

Anyway, probably lots of mods, try reducing mods that you dont use much and delete them from your data directory, maybe that will fix the bleedout time.

sorry i must not have been clear in my post. there is no issue or bug. just the vanilia bleedout time for essential followers is just way to fast.

i get into a hard fight. they go down. and after 5 sword swings they are back up. granted 1 hit puts them down again but i just wish they would stay down longer.

The setting you want to change is

fEssentialDeathTime

The documentation is here

Although I suspect the value is hard-coded and that setting is a left over from previous incarnations of the engine. I've tried extending the value, even starting a new game after doing so because I thought the value gets stored into save games, but nothing worked.

yea i found the fessentialdeathtime as well. but i only saw that for fallout and yea im working on a workaround like the one you suggested korodic.

thanks guys

found some more interesting actor scripts

setnobleedoutrecovery-http://www.creationkit.com/SetNoBleedoutRecovery_-_Actor

im assuming with this. they would stay down untill they were healed by an outside source. doing more research to clarify what this does. i hope this doesnt make them unable to be healed.

you could do the link you suggested and instead of killing them to keep them down just see it to true after a few seconds. I would imagine that this prevents them from getting up period until the fight is over.

If you use an event to capture their health state, you could work on something around that. I will create a script regarding this after I get some breakfast for you. Sound good? :)

wow you are too kind )) i had some success but not enough to call it working and @myztikrice. HOW DID YOU FIND THIS. i have literally googled that exact phrase 100 times. searched to page 10 and never found this! trying it out

doesnt seem to be working sadly :( they get up right after they go down still vanilla :/ looking into the script to maybe see why. tried merging it into a bashed patch but still doesnt seem to be working sadly. maybe a follower mod is overriding it.
