Clothing mesh adjustment

I'm hoping there is a simple fix for this because one of the mods I have installed which adds new clothing has some clipping issues.

From what I can tell the model is just slightly out of alignment on the character and I want to do what I hope is a very simple edit of the X Y Z coordinates of the mesh file, but all of my attempts at moving it with NifSkope have proven to be in vain. I can load the mesh in NifSkope and right-click -> transform -> edit which gives me Translation X Y Z coordinates and scale values to mess with. I can even see these effects on the mesh in the program when I adjust them, but no matter what adjustment I make and then save, nothing has changed on the model when I load my game and equip the clothing. I'm hoping there is a very simple way to manually adjust this, and I am just being stupid and missing something. Any help is appreciated. I genuinely just want to tweak how the clothing sits on the character body model to prevent a clipping error that is preventing me from enjoying the mod I have installed.

I wouldn't know how. I am using Better Bodies 3.0 and I tried rolling it back to earlier versions like 2,2 in case that was the conflict, but the clipping errors were still there. I am using some overhaul textures and Normal Maps, but if the ground model was the problem I think I'd be seeing these clipping errors on all clothes provided by other mods. As it happens I have several other mods installed that provide tight fitting clothing without clipping errors. It is literally only this one mod that has the issue.
