ShadowOrdo
Hello, So I have been away from the game since probably mounted combat, i have updated my SKSE and NMM. Have not updated any of my mods but was forced to update skyrim to get SKSE working. Now i cant remember if this happened to me when i was playing (fairly sure it was not to this degree) but it seem within 5-10 minutes my game will always crash, i could be standing still in a tavern and this will happen. Now i have noticed my game will freeze for a second or two about every 30 seconds to a minute. It all seems to be happening like timework also, which leads me to believe a mod is skiping or conflciting maybe? but i am not experienced enough in moding to really break it down and read any more complex signs then this (or reading code). I do feel it has to be a graphical mod or lighting causing this though, but that is just my feeling no real idea. I also suspect a memory issue? I do still sort of remember the importance of loadorders, .esp's at the top of list you wish to be run first but those below may override, bottom is best to ensure it takes affect. I have tried playing around with my loadorder how i remember with what worked but it am just going off vague memory. some big mods i suspect might be at the root, any other i leave out would be small mods like armors, weapons, or mods i have used from day 1 and never conflicted because they are all seperate in direction on what they affect. My "large mods" which i suspect. encase this helps. Warzones - (probably one of my largest mods) Not sure if i suspect this because my set crash time can happen anywhere even in a tavern, as mentioned. Skyrim HD - 2k textures - had this as a first mod, never gave problems before but i am thinknig with all other mods this is really adding to a problem on the limited memory i know skyrim has (max of 4gig ram correct?) Claralux Imaginator The Dance of Death Convienant Horses Elaborate Textiles - NPC clothing retexture UFO (ultimate follower mod) Sustained Spells - (not sure if this can just really hamber my meory by essentially macroing a few spells to recaster everytime the cast ends) Immersive Patrols - Thought this was conflciting with Warzones but when i deactivate this mod the game still crashes like normal. Medias Magic Phenderix magic evolved - Both these spell mods i know are huge but when i loaded this one after medias i remember never having an issue. Deadly Dragons Project Reality - Climates of Tamriel - Really love this mod but wonder if this or another or combied with other of my lighting affects are causing the crashes. SkyUI 7k Better Whiterun Deus Mons Expanded Winterhold Destruction Ruins Skyrim Safehouse These are the big mods in my NMM folder which i suspect to be a possible problem. Anything left out were just armor and weapon mods, mini game enchancer features, enchanced character models, and such. btw i have roughly 94 active plugins, though some mods have multiple plugins, such as my Crafting Overhaul mod (which i did not mention in the list). If anyone has some info on what might be causing my issue i would greatly appreciate any advice, and/or information! Thank you!
Georgiegril
I also suspect a memory issue.I would suggest that you look carefully at your game settings, then your prefs.ini and ini pages as well as your graphics card driver settings, to make sure that you have the correct settings. When skyrim updated, it would have reverted a lot of your settings to default. This may be the cause. I also would recommend taking a look at your GPU and CPU temps in game, just in case. If you do that and you still have the problem, I would try lowering your settings and removing the lighting mods. If it still is causing problems, please post your BOSS log, game specs, computer specs, and any changes to your prefs.ini and driver game profile, and I will try to help . ShadowOrdo
thank you very much! I would not really understand what i am reading in terms of my prefs.ini and such, but i do know for some mods i altered an ini file for skyrim however that was way back playing the game and it never affected my gameplay. I remember when i started moding with the game (even before) and it would only crash every once a day or so (buddy of mine just started playing and has no mods and this happens to him) i remember skyrim being weird like that, prob cuz its limited to 4gigs (WHY?!?! lol). By the time i stoped playing i remember my crashes may have become a bit more frequent, maybe every 2 -3 hours? probably far longer then that though. However i was aware to the fact i had to stop adding mods (nexus is one hell of a drug yo) and i did begin cleaning out some redundant mods, anything i kept rellay was something i felt enchanced my game on missing aspects. my skyrim options are as follows: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 TiStandard (4:3 or 5:4) - no idea what that is1280x10248 samples16 samplesMy advanced option is all maxed by the looks of it, seems to be the same setting when it installed a year ago. (FXAA is not checked) I am very limited on computers so not really sure what" GPU and CPU temps in game" are or where to look. I know what CPU is but not an ingame version of that. Buddy of mine built this computer for me and it runs better then what i have seen of computers running in the 3-4 thousand range, I am able to play 3-4 high end games at same time without experincing much of any lag. Not that i do that but i have done it in the past just to "rev the engine" so to speak. I be happy to share my computer specs with ya, just need to try and remember how i do that, as for BOSS files i should be able to do that, i only hate using that thing cuz it puts my loadorders in crap places and i always need to change it ... problem is now i dont really remember which load order was proper anymore... it all seemed the same since last i used nexus but i still played around with it non the less to try some thing out to test my game issues. thanks again for your assistance on this! I really was hoping to get back into the game.

ripple
Don't try to upload the BOSS log file. Just copy/paste the log content that has the load order + messages (such as bash tags) and paste that into a spoiler tag, including the list of plugins not recognized by BOSS if one is generated (enclose that in a spoiler tag too like you did with the other 'logs' you posted). Georgiegril
Well, the first thing I would do is fix the problems BOSS identifies-- update the mod BOSS says are obsolete, remove the mods BOSS says should be removed, and fix the cloaks/WIC cloaks problems (you can read about how to do that on the WIC mod site.) I won't ahve a chance to look at this again until maybe tomorrow, but maybe someone else will. The fact that it is lagging at regular intervals also might suggest that your computer is allocating resources to another program--have you shut off all background apps, disabled all autoscans, updates, unessential services on your computer?> Also, have you disabled autosaves in your prefs, ini? ShadowOrdo
ok i edited it, thanks for letting me know Ripple, figured i would just give the whole link not knowing what would be helpful to see a possible problem. Lot of those warning or errors i am not really sure if it is simply because my mods are not updated, could be the problem maybe conflicting with any skyrim update, but i did not see any direct update to effect them because i do not have Dawn Guard or Dragonborn. I am hesitant to begin updating mods because i am not sure if that will just make matter worse atm... lot of the big mods of mine and even some small seem to be focused around the 2 DLC, which i dont have yet. If the possibility for my crashes within 10minutes of playing are because i need dawnguard and/or dragonborn i would be totally down purchasing that just to get it going. but like i said, i have no clue at this point. two things do have me curious, that update.esm and the missing spike.esm from Hothtroopers armor mods do stand out to me. I have no spike.esm because that must be a new edition to his mod, perhaps it is something a update skyrim needs? I feel completely overwhelmed and ignorant on a lot of this because i have mistakenly not kept up with skyrim updates so feeling fairly lost on a lot of this lol. if anyone has some recommendations or if georgiegril is still visiting this thread, i would greatly appreciate any tips or knowledge on some of these new factors i am completely lost on. Btw Georgiegril, i tried your advice and lowered my advanced settings from high to medium, the screen freeze did lessen but still occurred, where say it would be a screen freeze every 2-3 minutes, it is now somewhere around 5-7 minutes. Crashing still happens (not sure if these are considered crashes, the program just closes with no message or anything not even a sound) the same but i would say it takes now an extra 10 or so minutes. the screen freezes have got to be a memory issue in some way and is just a noticeable repeating error causing the crash. Another observation i am starting to notice is when i point my camera in the direction of a light source, in this instance at a candle in the tavern, i am noticing an odd screen flash. It is fairly subtle but if you start looking for it you can see the lighting going from a darker setting to a lighter one, as if the candle flicker is being taken into account but it is being exploded to affect my whole screen, not sure if that is a skyrim engine process or not. ShadowOrdo
ah ok, had that post of mine sitting around while i played around with settings in the game to add my results, so did not see your post geogiegril. I will go through the boss log and update what it suggest, though if the updates require the dlc's i will have to look into it and if i feel it will work i will purchase the dlc's to help fix this with those mods. i have no other direct programs running while playing skyrim, Steam is running in the background and my McAfee Total Protection is maintaining my computer, i cant imagine that is sucking up a whole ton of my memory though. Opinions on that? I remember in the past i shut off a lot of programs i did not use though i am sure there are some running. I get updates for things like java or HP here and there but i close those out by the time i start attempting to run skyrim. I am really hard pressed to believe skyrim is all of a sudden taking up so much memory my computer can no longer handle small background programs like steam or McAfee. I can play multiple instances of TOR and GW 2 ( i have recently deleted my GW 2 program though) if i wanted without experiencing any lag. As per my last post i really am thinking it is a mod conflicting, i remember toward last days playing skyrim some time ago these crashes were becoming prevalent but the game was still somewhat playable, though i do think i was getting tired of dealing with it after awhile. interesting note, before i was able to get BOSS properly updated, i was running boss and getting only 1 error... the error was stating my: - CBBE skin texture V2 V3 plus Thepal and UNP compatible - Female Face skin v1_8 rev1 Fuller Lips and more character PATCH and -DIMONIZED UNP female body - UNP BASE Main body V1dot2 were conflicting or some kind of a error report or even incompatibility report, cannot remember exact language used. Which was the first i ever seen of it and i was sure back when i installed those to they were working fine as they were intended to mesh with each other. However once i got BOSS working that lone Error is not found anywhere now. (was the only text in the BOSS report when broke).... so not sure if it was just BOSS being broken at the time. figured it worth mentioning, trying to cover as many bases i can with my limited knowledge and experience. thanks again! I appreciate any input and leads on this issue! I would love to get this wrapped up so i can finish my game and try out that dawngaurd dlc... seen some great werewolf mods i would love to try with it.
