joynug Posted April 15, 2013 Share Posted April 15, 2013 Please help I am in Miraak's tower every time when i first attack him he disappears and turns up in the centre pond but he is transparent , I cannot touch him and I have tried everything and am now stumped .Can someone offer some advice as what to do. Relativelybest Posted April 15, 2013 Share Posted April 15, 2013 Are you absorbing the souls of the dragons he kills? Because they are supposed to go to him so he can regenerate his health. Open the console, click on Miraak, and type "resethealth" or "resurrect 1". This will restore him to full health which should snap him out of it so you can keep fighting. You'll need to do this three times, one for each dragon. Hopefully that will be enough, but if he gets stuck trying to kill the second one over and over, you may have a serious problem on your hands. An alternative strategy is to kill all three dragons before taking on Miraak. Some people have managed to beat him that way. Me, I have yet to defeat him since my version of the bug appears to be impossible to get around. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
gsmanners Posted April 16, 2013 Share Posted April 16, 2013 In a worst case scenario, you could always try: tcl* find Miraak and select him in console *tcldisableenable I seem to recall that that gets you past the worst, although don't count on being able to loot his corpse. No, mine is the one where he plain appears to lack the ability to absorb dragon souls, and loops trying to kill Relonikiv forever. Also, Hermaeus Mora does not show up, so he never ever dies. Relativelybest thank you "resethealth " got me to the point where I am now , and that is he killed the second Dragon but Hermaeus Mora dosn't come even though I " resethealth " again and again . I just keeping fighting him and have to " resethealth " all over again. I wish they would try these things out and rid them of their bugs. Thank you all . For some unknown reason The unofficial skyrim PATCH mod interferes with this fight, so just disable it for the duration and Bamm... one dead Mirak and loads of pretty loot. gsmanners Posted May 6, 2013 Share Posted May 6, 2013 Actually, the one an only time that fight bugged on me was before I had the patch. So, you did not prove anything. The FACT is the Miraak fight is one of the most badly designed scripted sequences in one of the most poorly thought-out story devices the gaming world has ever seen. What really happened was you probably didn't get between Miraak and his moronic soul-absorbing (which is where the bug actually comes from: the game's horribly inept, badly thought-out design). As a bonus, when you uninstalled unofficial patch, the scripts were still embedded in your save file, so there was really nothing different going on there. It was really just in your mind. In fact, you can look forward to future problems because uninstalling any mod with scripts has undocumented side effects that are out of our hands. You will, in fact, pretty much destroy your game. Perwin Posted August 20, 2013 Share Posted August 20, 2013 ok, so I got hit with the Miraak bug. This is how it went for me. I went in and beat him down. no problem. so he went to the center, went all etheral on me and WAS able to absorb dragon souls. However he never healed up all the way, so just stayed there. I tried to disable and enable in in the console and it worked-ish. He was now attacking me but still all etheral and I was unable to do damage, so I loaded a save and tried again. And again, and again. My final solution was to go into console when he was in the middle, click on him and then typed in `modav health 10000` a lot. each time I typed it in his health bar went up just a little, but once it got close enough to being full I dropped out of console and away he went normally. I had to do it all three times for the three dragon souls he absorbs but it worked. One issue, you keep bumping his overall health up so once he goes normal and starts to attack you may want to go into console , click him and do the same number of `modav health -10000`.
