[WIP] Tel Valus

Hi everyone. I'm an old long time E.S. House modder. I am mostly at ORE (house modding site/forums), but I just became a lifetime subscriber here. Something I should contributed to along time ago, given how much I use the database. :whistling: If your wondering what kind of house mods I do, you can look at the pics on my website.

 

Anyway I've just finished what might be one of my last house mods for Oblivion. Using Jon Satriani's Telvani tile set for Oblivion, I created a settlement high in the Valus Mountains just over the border with Morrowind. Right now it's undergoing BETA testing at ORE, but the final version should be out within a couple of weeks. I'll upload here when it's ready.

 

General Features:

There are 5 exterior buildings, one is on the tower top:

*Settlement tavern (hostel-free beds)

*Settlement general services (forge and general store)

*Guard house

*Herdsman's hut/ stable

* Tower's Turret (mage lab)

 

The tower is spilt up into 4 sections. From bottom to top:

-Dungeon, Basement, Lower Tower, and Upper Tower

 

*The Dungeon is deep in the earth below the tower. It is where the force labor lives, and where the jail is located.

 

*The Basement is located just below the surface. It is where the root foundations of the tower is located. It sits on the areas aquafer. It containes a garden and storage area

 

*Lower tower: This is where visiting Dunmer stay. It is also where the Tower's Mouth lives. He provides mage services

 

Upper Tower: This section consists of 6 areas. A lounge, a private study, a master bed, master bath, library, and dinning hall. Access to roof and turret is located in dinning hall

 

The exterior features a stable, overlooks, a picnic area, and a huge mountain meadow behind the tower.

Lastly there are many custom items, books and designs to look at.

Hey Speck, long time no speak :)

 

Liking the mod, I've always been a fan of Telvanni buildings :P

 

 

Nice to hear from you too. Hope all is well with you.

My thanks on the nice comments. I am hoping testing will only be about a week.

In the meantime, I've got to finish up the exterior pathgrids, and add a couple more

basic ai packages on my ncps.

I finished my Beta Testing, I deleted my data folder and tested myself with just vanillia Obivion and S.I. . That worked perfect. I caught my packaging errors, fixed them and the other issues that my testers found. You can download it now in the data base.

I work full time, so the fastest way to get a hold of me if you need to is on the Obivion Real Estate forum, cause I am a mod there. Otherwise email me. I feel pretty good about the mod, and don't think anyone will have any problems, but if you do I will try to adress what I can within the next couple of weeks.

This is just a heads up. In a few weeks to months, Elim Garak (of the bookset I think), over at PlannetOvlivion will be releaseing another Telvanni Tower mod. Our mods, we discovered happend to be named the exact same name. But, his uses a totally different tile set; and is in a totally different location and uses different naming conventions.

 

Just for thourghness, I will over the next few weeks create a very slightly different version of MY tower for those who wish it. The only difference will be the name.
