Now, the unit has Stereo sound [two speakers.] Overall, I like the way the new unit looks. I just hope the stereo sound doesn't make it more expensive. ;)

Oh, andI like the black section on the old one. It made it alot easier to transition looking between screens, since everything was kind of unified.

Your opinions?

Whao, the new model looks pretty damn pimp.

I thnik it'll be a good system, but I don't plan on buying it. I don't travel enough and wouldn't be able to justify the $100+ purchase.

Though Metroid *whatever* looks pretty good for a handheld FPS =P

Yes, It will be awsome. Being able to play with people wireless will be awsome, it also beeps if someone is in range and i've heard of chat being in there too...but, i'm not sure about that one. Nintendo knows what they are doing.

Can't you just slip a PSP into a carrying case to protect the screen?

Can't you just buy an AC adapter for it? (if it dosn't come with one)

The DS will not be pocket friendly, the PSP will. The DS looks larger than the origional GameBoys.

The DS will not be pocket friendly...

What are you talking about? Of course it will! It folds, so the screens are protected from being scratched by anything else in your pocket. The'res no need for a case. Plus, it's about the size of the original Gameboy Advance, so it will easily fit into pockets.

Can't you just buy an AC adapter for it?
Yeah, there's always outlets/adapters around, so you can keep it plugged in while on the plane, walking down the street, or riding the train. ;)

...the PSP will...

No, it won't.

Weight: Approx. 260g

Dimensions: 170mm wide x 74mm long x 23mm deep

UMD Weight: Approx. 10g

UMD Dimensions: approx. 65mm x 64mm x 4.2mm

That's about an inch thick, seven inches long, and three inches tall.

Much bigger than the DS.

Do you know if there will be the link possibility just like with the GBA?

If you mean between other DS systems, yes, there will be wireless link. With the Gamecube, I don't think any GC <-> DS link has been announced.

I've heard of chat being in there too...

Yes, it's called "Pictochat." Whether it will come with the DS or not, nothing has been determined yet.
