Amayakyrol
Where is England's prime minister of african ancestry? :biggrin:I don't think that England has ever had a Prime Minister. Nonetheless, this guy was pretty ethnic - for the nineteenth century. Do you mean that England doesn't have a Prime Minister political office or that they've never had a black prime minister? TheOutlander
I just sat up all night to watch the Barak Obama Inauguration. What a wonderful spectacle that was. To see so many black and white people side by side, celebrating this historic event brought me to tears. I want to congratulate all Americans for coming of age in electing your first black President. I never thought I would live to see the day and I am so thrilled to have witnessed such an occasion. It shows that America has become more enlightened and by majority has decided to put one of the worst human traits ‘racism’ behind them. What an incredible, inaugural speech! You have chosen well your new President America. He is young, ambitious, very intelligent, eloquent, ntm very handsome hehe and I believe, if given due chance, he will make a great leader. So once again, congratulations! And best of Luck Tigerlilly So funny how we still have to be amazed by the fact that he's the first black president ever elected. We live in 2009 and we speak about putting racism behind us wile we should have done that a long time ago, or let's just say like America should have done that a long time ago compaired to other countries. It's actually quite funny how some people in 2009 still have to fight for their equall rights in the US, wile it's concidered to be a modern country. By saying it's a big deal that they finally elected a BLACK president you actually create a difference between black and white. Colour of skin shouldn't be a big deal at all, who cares even if they selected a purple president. To bad we had to wait untill 2009, but hey on the other hand, better late than never I say :)! Hooray for another big step in american history still I thought the landing on the moon was more exciting...btw when can we expect the first extraterrestrial president?Making an issue about racisim is in itself a form of racisim. A big problem I have with the whole thing is that many people voted for him because he is black, not because they liked his promises or anything like that. I myself supported him because I thought he was the best candidate for the job, not because he'd be the first black president. I remember flicking through the channels watching the Inauguration and seeing the huge majority of black reporters trumped out by the news channels to cover the event, doing the interviews. Not a coindence. Then there was the "why did you vote for Barak Obama" shows running on the channels "just look at his skin man, he's one of us". Gah one step forward, two steps back. These days if you have one minority employee and you treat them any different from your other employee's they start screaming racisim, even if you treat them differently because they suck at their job not because they are a minority. Bleh horrid subject. btw when can we expect the first extraterrestrial president? Can't happen, gotta be born on American soil to be president. Otherwise Arnold Swartzen..somethingeranother would have been president by now. ;)Demolition Man. Seriously it predicted that he'd go into politics, and it predicts that US will rewrite the rule that says he can't be President...

Chaosblade02
I'm against the idea of bail outs and all this wasteful government spending. Which means me and Obama don't see eye to eye, and Bush even went along with bailouts and spending bills of his own, so the only change I see out of Obama is skin deep, hes more like Bush than you think. And if anyone would actually look closely what most of the money is being spent on, it would make you sick. This so called spending bill is the biggest "lets all get together and figure out how to get our buddies rich" bill ever created in the history of man. The few jobs that might be created from all this spending isn't really going to get much of a bang for its buck and then we are gonna be 10+ trillion dollars in debt. Imagine the interest payments on 10 trillion dollars. The interest alone would be more money per day than it cost to fight the Iraq war per day in its prime. And it would take more than a decade to pay this off. And nobody here is going to see a dime of this money being spent. They talk about education, why not just give 500 billion dollars to the pell grant fund, which would allow them to give much more substantial grants and maybe some people would get their education paid for. The government would in turn get their money back over time as a result of these people making more money and being in a higher tax bracket for their lifetime as a result of this.
