zarfly
I owned DF when it first came out many, many moons ago, and one of the best mods that was created at that time was a cheat patch (don't remember the name of it). The patch allowed many things, but the BEST feature it had was the ability to auto teleport to the location of the quest goal while in a dungeon. I don't know how it was coded, but it worked like:- step into dungeon and cast recall to bind at start- then using the [ and ] keys, you would auto "teleport" to different areas in the dungeon- once you find your goal, ingredient, NPC, etc, you would then cast recall back to start bind point I assume dungeon modules are coded to have designated spots where quest goals are found, thus allowing the cheat to be made. Using this cheat made the game much more enjoyable to plan via saving time running round and round trying to find something, and spinning the map over and over. UPDATE: this was the 2.13 patch for the original install. it worked by running the 2.13 patch, then editing the z.config file to enable Cheatmode 1 in that file, which turns on the original developer cheat codes. i just tried installing that patch and it does not work with Unity version of the game. SOOOOO...any smart programmers out there who can figure out how to make that patch work with Unity???? Edited March 6, 2021 by zarfly
