Thodstan
Skyrim can't use more than 4, because you only have 4 though Skyrim can't use all of it because other tasks have to use some.

Georgiegril
Are you crashing or freezing at 900 mb?
pedoncho
Are you crashing or freezing at 900 mb?Yes, ctd sometimes, pretty annoying
Georgiegril
If you post your BOSS list, computer specs, and .ini files that might help identify the crash. Also, have you shut down unessential programs, services, processes? Manually or using something like gamebooster?
pedoncho
Well i fixed the ctd's but im still annoyed by the fact that I installed 4gb of ram for Skyrim using only 900mb :S

SymVoid
Best fix EVER! This completely fixed my game. I can run numerous mods right now and NO CTD at all. Well once, but Frostfall was ordered wrong :P http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/503105-fix-for-ctds-and-missing-textures-32bit-large-memory-access/?hl=%2Bcrash+%2Benter+%2Bnew+%2Barea Windows XP / 7 32bit computers come with a cap. They only use 2gb, period. 2gb for System and 2gb for User Applications. That post will tell you how to fix that. Since I did it I have absolutely NO problems. Framerate is steady and smooth and micro-stutters are gone as well :) It needs to be stickied really.
