schaine
HelloI never play games twice, neverappeled to me so when i want to use mods, i need to use them instantly. So what would you recommend me? Currently i have rh-iron sights and fellout. Are fook 2 or fwe suitable for a beginner? Any others, that help make the experience more immersive or interesting, without changing the game too much? Fwe sounds perfect, but i think its too difficult. Vanilla is already difficult enugh for me atm. Yu can recommend me any mods you enjoyed that stay close to the lore, and allow a good story-playthrough. Thank you very much.
M48A5
"Are fook 2 or fwe suitable for a beginner?" In a word, NO. You have to choose one or the other. For mods, FWE, DCInteriors Project, Shadows and Dust, 1 & 2, A World of Pain, Wasteland Incounters, Imperfection, Kysrmar Moon, Enhanced Night Sky, Muldoon Electronics & Franklin Mall. As for not replaying the game, I am currently at level 49 with 280 hours in my 5th playthrough. There are so many mods for game changes and enhancement, that you can play multiple times and not repeat a playthrough.
schaine
Well, no matter what i mod, i will always encounter the same quests and story wont i? An i cant stand that. Just like i would never watch a movie twice. I just play/watch for the story, not for the gameplay i guess.

Well, i know i should choose between the two (FWE or FOOK 2), but FWE was said to be so hard only pros can handle it. And FOOK 2, i dont even really get what it does to the game. Just random enhancements? So you believe that FWE is suitable for a complete beginner (well, almost, i have like 15h in)

Thank you anyways, sir.
Edited April 21, 2013 by schaine
M48A5
The difficulty of FWE is exaggerated. You can configure the difficulty level. I was using FWE and thought I would like FOOK, so I uninstalled FWE and installed FOOK. After incessant freezes and CTDs, I uninstalled FOOK and reinstalled FWE and I have continued to use it in my last three playthroughs. You are right that the main story and quests remain to same, but you can change the order you play the side quests, add quests or completely change the storyline. There are thousands of mods that add content to the game. There are 327 quests and adventures and 1,873 game play effects and changes. And you will probably miss a lot of things in only one playthrough. I am still finding things I didn't see in the first four playthroughs. Edited April 21, 2013 by M48A5
