Scrimshaw
Kerry is a coward because he is so afraid of what people think of him he will reinvent his position based on whatever audience he happens to be speaking to. That is not the definition of a leader with vision. That's the definition of a follower who does whatever he feels the popular whim demands. The dude spent 17 years in the Senate, and in his DNC speech only made about a sentence's worth of comment on it. The reason being, his record is loaded with waffling, and position-shifting. He has no conviction. He believes whatever suits his political needs at the time. Also, he has NOTHING to offer the swing voters, and his political record PROVES it. He is the most liberal Dem in the Senate, running with the 4th most liberal Dem (Edwards). He has absolutely nothing to offer moderate Republicans, undecideds, independents, etc. He is just a hardline lib and only appeals to other hardline libs. He spoke of increasing the intelligence and defense of our nation, even though he has a 17-year record of voting to CUT funds for those self-same endeavors, and he missed most of the intelligence meetings during his tenure. He spoke against the idea of dividing America by race, group, class, etc., and then proceeded to proclaim that he will not raise taxes for middle class people but WILL raise them for the upper class! Well, uh, thats dividing America by group, and treating them inequitably. Oh, and then during Edward's speech, Edwards has the gonads to say "Aren't you just sick of the negative attacks?", only weeks after attending his Hollywood fundraiser where celebrities openly attacked Bush in the most vile ways.......and of course, never was there a word of condemnation from Edwards or Kerry after that event. Kerry spoke of giving our Veterans and military personnel better coverage, even though he voted to send them to war, and then voted AGAINST giving them the supplies they need to do the job. I understand that most politicians double-speak on occasion, but never have I seen men who double-speak as much as Kerry and Edwards. Btw......I noticed both Edwards and Kerry had embarrassing verbal slip-ups in their speeches. I wonder if Michael Moore is planning to rip those clips out of context for his next "film"? :)
Icefiddell
Sorry but i dont understand any of this, i was watching the news yesterday and it showed kerry's speach and there was thousands of people there cheering and celebrating. For gods sake there was even confetti, no offence but why do you people take this kinda thing so much over the top. And plus why is every one who wants to win so cheesy, i could never imagine Tony Blair doing that (probably because he'd be scared of the costs <_< ) yer anyway, my rants over, sorry for this had to let t out. :D
_it_
the last 2 years of the bush administration are more then enough to show his stupidity (he has a I,Q of 80) the war he started was based on wrong evidence they say it is the fault of the cia but bush made that desision since only the president can deside if america will go to war he dicided to go not the cia but president bush if you say that he is a good president check the current financial state of america they will be in debt in 2010 if he will continiu with his war efforts u dont see it now but wait for 2/3 years and then look at america a financial crisis because he is putting the us army at no.1 and the so called war on terrorism on no.2 and the rest somewhere on no. 10 or 20 that will cause disasters on the long run watch what happened to holland when in 1980 they desided people could stop working on their 50's in america a similar thing is happening bush is asking for bilions of dollars for the war but he forgets to invest in other things like public services
cmac
stupidity (he has a I,Q of 80)When did this "fact" that Bush is stupid start to appear? Bush went to Yale and graduated top in his class! The reason he makes so many errors when speaking in public is because he is dyslexic! He can't read the teleprompter and therefor can't read what his speech writers wrote for him. it showed kerry's speach and there was thousands of people there cheering and celebrating.Yes. I'd also like to point out, on the subject of the Democratic National COnvention, that the Kerry Campaign stoops so low that they invite twelve-year-olds to speak. They say that this Idaho sixth grader has started a grassroots foundation! I must to say- if Bush is going to top this, he's going to have to invite an embryo or fetus... tyjet3
What is really sad is that people aren't voting for Kerry because of his ideas and policies, they are voting for him just to get rid of Bush. Yes, you bush haters think this is a great thing but I'm really worried about what Kerry is going to do to our country... He is going to turn it closer and closer to socialism... I agree that Kerry is weak. Did you know that when Kerry did a speech on BET (Black Entertainment Television) he had no black people on his political team? When he was asked about in on BET it changed in two days, two white people were replaced with black people... He is weak and simply is giving the people what the want to make himself look better and attract more votes... About the governments money... War is expensive. Yes, the war wasn't justifiable but we had to do something after 9/11. If we hadn't gone to war it would have made the US look weak. We had no choice but to go to war so money would have been spent no matter what country we went to... if Bush is going to top this, he's going to have to invite an embryo or fetus Well he is the only one keeping them alive!!! ha!! get it!? _it_
making the us look weak THE US WAS ALWAYS WEAK the only thing that made u look strong was your nuclear arsenal and your large army with high tech stuff high tech isnt always the best solution for a army most casiulty's in american wars happened because of failing weaponry or friendly fire by so called smart bombs u stand no chance in a urban guerrilia war a nuke isnt gonna stop a airliner flying in a mayor building you can smuggle weapons onboard of aircraft ( like home made plastic firearms cappable of firering 5 rounds) you get steel knives when eating airline food but now back on bush his IQ i dont know if you check the underground sites often but there they have a certificate stating his IQ wich is 80 it was also sayd in numerous music clips like the one from amurika these are all based on true facts his dad on the other hand has a IQ of

Eiade
About the governments money... War is expensive. Yes, the war wasn't justifiable but we had to do something after 9/11. If we hadn't gone to war it would have made the US look weak. We had no choice but to go to war so money would have been spent no matter what country we went to... We went to war in Afghanistan, which is where the people responsible for 9/11 were (Osama bin Laden), and where they still are. But then Bush diverted their whole focus to Iraq, which had absolutely NO connection with 9/11. If we wanted to respond to 9/11 so badly, we would've taken all the money we could've spent on Iraq, and put it into Afghanistan, where there was relevance to 9/11. And the reason for going to war was not so the US wouldn't look weak, it was to deliver justice to those who unrightfully attacked and killed thousands on 9/11. Of course we had to go to war. But Iraq? Wtf? The main reason why I am voting for Kerry is that I cannot forgive Bush for what he has done. And, he got away with needlessly sending hundreds and hundreds of Americans to their death without an impeachment (not to say that people wouldn't've died in Afghanistan, but the numbers wouldn't be nearly as high, and there was no reason for Iraq), so what's to stop him from doing something like this again? Fool me once, you'll never fool me again.
postaldudeleo
For god's sake people, bush is maybe a moron but at least he had the guts to fight back even if he did start wars. Lets face it, saddam hussien was an evil male without a father any way you put it, with or without biological weaponry.................. And afganistan was always a haven for stupid terrorists. He has guts, I vote for kerry anyway but you shouldnt blame bush.
Eiade
saddam hussien was an evil male without a father any way you put it, with or without biological weaponry.................. So you think the fact that Hussein is evil justifies the war. I strongly disagree. There are so many countries out there that are ruled by malicious dictators and/or evil groups or malifactor governments. Some of them even pose a threat to the US. So why go to Iraq? And noone can deny the fact that Bush and his admisitration did lie about connections between 9/11, and sents hundreds and hundreds to their deaths. but you shouldnt blame bush. For what? Look, I am normally a very accepting, very open-minded, and considerate person. But I lose all self-control when it comes to this topic. I do understand Kerry's flaws. But I don't think that Goerge W. deserves to be in office again.
