Can someone take a look at my load order and tell me what might be causing this? EDIT: Reinstalled Midas and now most of the spells work but the game crashes whenever I cast them on a target. maYuYang Posted January 23, 2009 Share Posted January 23, 2009 I am not 100% sure, but to it looks like there're conflicts between Midas Spells and other mods which affect NPCs once they are hit by a spell. Or maybe conflicting with Midas spells themselves. Try to deactivate all mods which might have an effect on Midas Spells and test it then. If the Game still crashes, deactivate all mods except midas spells and if you use a custom race that mod aswell. The game shouldn't crash then. Activate one mod after another and check if it still runs. That way, you can narrow it down to the root of cause. Also, I noticed that you're using Streamline 3.1. I read that the beta versions can cause crashes. I doubt that it causes those when using Midas spells, but you could try to use version 3.0 or maybe 2.1 which is non-beta. Lardtree3 Posted January 23, 2009 Author Share Posted January 23, 2009 Yeah I ended up turning off all mods except Midas and then testing them in a new game. They worked then so I had some fun with them first and now I am in the process of reactivating mods one by one. I thought I deativated all the ones that might affect the way spells interact with targets, unless Duke's Script Silencer might be causing the crash, and yes I do run a custom race (Death Knight). Thanks for the tip on Streamline, maybe that's why I crash when riding my Akatosh mount, with a 8800 video card and 8 gigs of memory I shouldn't be having fps problems I would think... EDIT: Okay, now it get weird. I reactivated all my mods and Midas works in the new game but still crashes in my old save. Same load order and everything. I suppose there must be something in the old save that is conflicting...I suppose it wouldn't be the end of the world to start a new save but, I'd have to recollect a great deal of items and I'd rather not....
