GoldenGoat100
Hello everyone. I know I've posted this before, but I'm getting desperate. I'm not going to copy everything I posted in my previous post, but instead I'll just give you my Papyrus log, so some of you can just give me a solution right away without reading the hole back-story I posted previously. I tried starting a new game but then it crashed and left this papyrus log: [04/23/2013 - 02:46:29PM] Papyrus log opened (PC) [04/23/2013 - 02:46:29PM] Update budget: 1.200000ms (Extra tasklet budget: 1.200000ms, Load screen budget: 2000.000000ms) [04/23/2013 - 02:46:29PM] Memory page: 128 (min) 512 (max) 76800 (max total) [04/23/2013 - 02:46:41PM] warning: Property pTG05KarliahInvisibilitySpell on script QF_TG05_00021551 attached to TG05 (00021551) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property [04/23/2013 - 02:46:41PM] warning: Property TG05KarliahInvisibilitySpell on script tg06questscript attached to TG06 (00021552) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property Karliah Invisibility Spell? Now we know the problem (I think). I would greatly appriciate it if some of you could give me a proper solution. Georgiegril
Papyrus logs are not crash logs.Post your computer specs and BOSS log, along with the specific details of your crash. When you started a new game, did you also do a clean reinstall? Georgiegril
The link you provided does not actually show your BOSS log information. Please choose the option to show log as text file, then copy/paste the log into your post. Enclose in spoiler tags if it is long. Also, please provide the other information I requested. Finally it might help to have your game specs and any changes you have made to .ini settings and driver game profile. Georgiegril
HI, never saw the edit of your post, sorry. You must be patient, that is a long time to wait! I am very perplexed that your game is crashing at the start with really only 1 mod. It leads me to think that there may be a problem with the actual game. You say you started a new game with a clean install and have made no changes to your ini files, so they should be the default from the installation?? Just to verify, you are starting a new game, not trying to load an old save over a new game? And you are using the default game profile for your graphics driver? If so, I would suggest trying to verify your game files on Steam. There is a chance that the new installation was corrupted somehow. After that, try to start a new game, no mods at all, not even the texture files (which do cause problems for people, but not typically crashes without other mods, as far as I know.) (also, the Karliah thing is not a problem, you can ignore it.)If you are still crashing on completely vanilla Skyrim, then I think you may need to contact Steam. GoldenGoat100
It diden't work. I am going to do a clean reinstall one last time, and if it crashes I'll contact Steam support.HI, never saw the edit of your post, sorry. You must be patient, that is a long time to wait! GoldenGoat100
To be honest, I didn't contact Steam (was busy playing some other games), but I did try to play on completely vanilla Skyrim, witch did work, but when I started installing mods again.... the game crashed. I've no clue on why this is happening, but I was wondering if you had a solution to give right now, so please help if you know the solution.HI, never saw the edit of your post, sorry. Georgiegril
If the game worked until you started adding mods, then the problem is related to the mods you are adding or more likely the way you are adding them. The mods may be in the wrong order, they may conflict with other mods you have added, you may have failed to follow the installation instructions about set up or required mods, or they may not work well with your specific computer. The solution is to start with a clean vanilla installation, no mods. After you exit Helgen start adding mods 1 mod at a time, and only after reading everything the mod author provides--readme, description, discussion page, every last word. After every mod, run BOSS, read the log, make sure to address every message in the BOSS log. Play the game a bit to make sure it is stable before adding the next mod.If you run into a problem, start working backwards to find and solve the problem, do not keep playing or adding other mods. Just troubleshoot.
