bbqwtvr
I just started playing Skyrim a couple months ago, which led to mods, first using Vortex, then MO. In trying to follow the instructions here I downloaded CK and added it to MO, following the Gamerpoets yt video. Then a day or two ago I noticed that MO2 now has two different entries on the dropdown list for executables: One is titled Creation Kit (w a space) and the "Start in" field is D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition I *think* this is one I made when I followed the video. There's another one called CreationKit (no space) and the Start in field is blank. The actual exe for CK is the same file and path in both cases. I don't remember making another one on purpose. I can't think of any reason that I would, but I wouldn't bet my life on that. Was it maybe auto-generated somehow? As a complete beginner, does this mean that if I'm trying to edit/fix something like the instructions linked above, I may have started with the 'wrong' CK? Or is this random and of no consequence? IsharaMeradin
I believe that an entry for the Creation Kit and SKSE64 / SKSE are automatically created if they are recognized when the program is installed. There is no harm to have two entries. You can also remove one or repurpose for a different program.
bbqwtvr
Interesting, I only have one SKSE but I can't remember if I made that or MO2 did. Anyway thank you, appreciate it.
IsharaMeradin
Yeah, you would have only one entry for SKSE depending upon the version of the game installed. SKSE for SLE and SKSE64 for SSE.
EZ337
If the file paths are the same, you will do fine regardless. You can delete one even if you want. Anyways, one thing that I forget to mention for some people, do not forget to extract the scripts folder that comes with Skyrim. I forget not everyone is a mod authour ð. Make sure you extract the folder. It can take a while. But you need to extract that folder before you can follow the instructions
