Egosum
In theory a simple request, but far outside my skills. I've been trying to extend the Hearthfire house to incorporate all the addons. Why? Because i'm greedy and don't like to choose.Right now i use three mods that makes a separate library (in its own cell) and put's the kitchen behind the main hall, plus a loft above the entrance building, but they still don't get everything inside the house. My thought was to extend the main hall to three floors, and the east, west and north wings to two floors. This way the house would hold at least seven addons instead of the normal three, not including anything placed in the cellar. The exterior rooftop areas would also be moved up with the floors. I had not planned to use any of the tower addons since i dislike how they look and convert them to rooms instead. In my latest attempt i combined armory and storage in the east wing and trophy and library in the west wing. Had i not broken the game yet again i would have put Alchemy and Enchanting on the new third floor, Kitchen behind the main hall and Bedroom in the north wing. I have no idea where i want the greenhouse at all. Now I've already started on this and i'm confident that at my pace of learning i will be done sometime before Elder Scrolls 8 comes out on Windows 13 so that's why i'm posting this here in case one of you modders like the idea enough to show how it's done with style. Also, anyone know what is it that makes the game CTD randomly when entering/exiting the house, even in vanilla Hearthfire? Must be something in that cell that it does not like. Jokerine
As far as I've seen after experimentation and looking around, it is simply not possible to expand on what's been pre-made in Hearthfire - or, actually, it's not possible to make any additional rooms that are not different cells. Hearthfire is a mess for modding, to be honest. You sound like you managed to do it - how? I'd like to know. I think that, if you want all rooms, I'm afraid you'll have to go with them being in different cells for the time being. Also that CTD issue may be related to that one faulty collision marker, if it's Lakeview Manor.
Egosum
Yeah well it's the part of making it work that i am failing at since it breaks time after another. I understand why you call it a mess. I hoped that it would be an easy job to copy/paste the parts already in the cell for someone with more experience than me (and so i could look and steal their solution). Perhaps it would be easier to start from scratch. About the Ctd, yes its lakeview. Do you know which collision marker it is? Is it something important or can it just be deleted? Sounds like this has already been fixed before. Edited April 24, 2013 by Egosum
Jokerine
There was a mod in the Nexus somewhere that removed it. Lemme see if I can find it. EDIT: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33093There you go. Hope it helps! Edited April 24, 2013 by Jokerine
